Miami is an 11.5 pt favorite... Miami has not been kind to us over the years

My model has this as a pick 'em game. BG's metrics improved greatly after this past week. In fact, my model's biggest spread now is Toledo +2. BG is currently favored vs. Buffalo, Akron, Ball State, Kent State, & WMU.

Gabbert wasn't healthy last year for this game and it showed. BG will have their hands full this weekend. Both teams have P5 wins (Miami vs. Cincinnati). I see it being a low-scoring, physical game with the running game being key if BG wants to win.

Run the ball. If we do it as well as we did this past weekend, we won't lose another game. Lean on Stewart and Keith.

Great point. I've been critical of the OL but is was pretty solid at GT. Stewart and Keith are huge playmakers and Patterson and Mosley can provide relief as well. We haven't run the ball this well in a few years. Awesome to see.

I personally think we get smashed because it makes too much sense. Early money coming in on the Falcons, big win last week, just makes too much sense.

Question though not related---Has anyone bought the Sebo party deck tickets from Costco? Wife and I go to one home game a year and we went with those tickets this time for the Akron game. Just curious what the spread looks like? Hoping there's a cash bar? Ticket with a buffet for 50 bucks seems pretty solid regardless. Didn't want to muddy the gameday thread but doesn't seem like a stand alone type of topic!

Food spread is good, some of us got to sample it back in August before the season. Believe it's hot dogs, hamburgers, couple sides (want to say a potato salad and something else), along with some desserts. I believe it's a cash bar for alcoholic drinks. Soft drinks and water might be free, don't remember for certain.

That's what I'm talking about! Appreciate the feedback.

I’m not sure Miami is actually good. The schedule is pretty soft. The UC win is huge obviously but the other 3 are an FCS, UMass and Kent. We’re no good and we might be 4-1 in those games. But you’ve got Scot not being able to follow up on his big wins plus the Miami Whammy. I wouldn’t be surprised by a win or a blowout loss.

It's family weekend in Oxford...should be a good crowd. The GT game means they probably won't be taking this one lightly.

I love the campus and Hueston Woods...but I hate
Miami

Family Weekend for BG is the 20th-22nd for inquiring minds, back on for a home football weekend.
