Playing all of the other teams in the top 4 is pretty rough, but at least 2 of those games are at home. It’s good to be among the top of the league again. It’s been far too long.

I was not thrilled when the MAC placed BG in the same pod with UT and NIU. I understood why the did it, but I didn't like it (I actually hated it - and that was out of respect for UT and NIU). Then the preseason poll comes out and you see the entire pod of BG/UT/NIU in the Top-3 of the MAC poll. Plus, BG also draws the clear favorite Miami. We appear to be a true contender this year. But we're going to have to one - stay healthy, and two - we're certainly going to have to earn our way to Detroit. If BG can get to Ford Field, it won't be by accident, that's for sure.
GO BG!!!

No excuses this year, experienced team at several positions. Hope to survive the two big non-conference games without any major injuries. Team controls their own destiny with H2H against the other top four schools.

Controlling their own destiny is a great way to look at it. Beat the teams in front of you and you go to Detroit.

To quote the late, great Norm MacDonald " if it's your destiny...you don't control it". :)
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.
