@ Akron (10/5)
Time to bounce back. MAC play is here.
Falcons @ Zips on Saturday, October 5. 3:30pm on ESPN+.
I currently see BG listed as a 14.5 point favorite. Would love if we came out and played to our potential from the jump in this one - seems the fanbase is in need of a confidence boost. Let’s hope we get it.

Re: @ Akron (10/5)
Only a 10 minute drive for me this week. I know there are no sure wins but this one is damn close. Akron, Kent St and Ball St are all pretty bad this season, so far. We need to come out and impose our will and NOT LOOK BACK.

Fully expect a win...butva loss would be devastating

Re: @ Akron (10/5)
The ODU fail needs to linger like a bad fart for the rest of the season to keep this group hungry and focused. This is Akron's homecoming so I suspect a decent crowd by their standards, and they'll be a desperate team given the circumstances of their season so far. Need to get the run game going and offer up someone other than Fannin in the passing game. Think BG wins but Akron covers.
Loeffler mentioned today that RJ Garcia will likely be back from injury and play in some capacity, hopefully will help out the WR group a bit.

Re: @ Akron (10/5)
I'm extremely glad we're starting the Mac season with Akron. I think it's going to be a tough game. We haven't won a game in over a month and we're at the breaking point. If we played niu or toledo this weekend I would be worried of a blowout like ohio last year. However we have all the talent to beat Akron and start our campaign to detroit.
On another note niu, toledo, and Miami haven't looked great so the top 2 is wide open. Umass out gained toledo by over 100 yards at the glass bowl but didn't finish drives.
Bg puts the game away with a late field goal 27-17

A loss here and SL is done as BG coach. He may well be done, anyway, but another bad loss to Akron would seal his fate.

Every game is must-win from here on out with conference play starting. Have to take it one week at a time though, especially with the elimination of the divisions.Falconwriter wrote: ↑Thu Oct 03, 2024 4:25 pm A loss here and SL is done as BG coach. SL's fate will be tied to how the overall season goes. No doubt that losing this game puts BG squarely behind the 8-ball. Very little room for error with NIU, Toledo, Miami yet to come.
Bought a ticket yesterday so I'll be in attendance, first time in Akron since 2014. Looking forward to it.

Ended up staying in the same hotel as the Akron players. A lot of dirty looks this morning in my BG swag.Falconfreak90 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 05, 2024 12:39 pmSweet bro...we'll be getting there around 2.jpfalcon09 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 04, 2024 12:28 pmEvery game is must-win from here on out with conference play starting. Stewart is questionable.
Edit - he was out taking reps in warmups.

Pegues with an awful decision. Losing this game would be wholly embarrassing.

Re: @ Akron (10/5)
I’m soooo tired of Connor Bazelak being a 1 trick pony. Anderson gives this team so many more options. There is no way to draw up a college offense with a guy as immobile as Bazelak. I think of the Josh Harris years and the Matt Johnson years when we had duel threat QB’s. Where was Anderson last week against ODU? Why for the love of all that is orange and brown does Loeffler seem committed to such a one dimensional QB?

Bazalek has looked extra immobile the last 2 weeks.
