Now that a few coaches have lost their jobs in the past few weeks, I figured it was time to get our annual carousel thread going.

Openings so far:

Fresno State - Jeff Tedford resigned
Utah State - Black Anderson resigned
Southern Miss - Will Hall fired
East Carolina - Mike Houston fired
Rice - Mike Bloomgren fired
Kennesaw State - Brian Bohannon fired
Ball State - Mike Neu fired
Temple - Stan Drayton fired

Any and all HC firings and speculation can be thrown in this thread.

If Loeffler ends up in the MACC, I could see Temple showing interest.

I had the same thought. 3 straight bowls, MAC championship game, history there, they can pay more and it’s a league that theoretically is viewed as having more access to the CFP. I could see that.

Or at least his agent leveraging it into more money here, since it’s almost certain he is getting an extension after this season, given that last year is the final year on his current deal.

Don Brown out at UMass.

Tom Herman out at FAU. Quite the fall after Houston.

Biff Poggi fired at Charlotte.

Some MAC rumblings - seems like Kenni Burns is safe for now at Kent State. He has a massive buyout (contract through 2028) and resources there are scarce for football. Joe Moorhead (Akron) is being tossed around as a possible OC candidate at Wisconsin and perhaps other positions should they come free. He got an extension through 2027 and like Kent, the money isn't there for a buyout, but there are rumors that Akron wouldn't be upset to see him move on, as he's 6-28 in two-plus seasons.

Jim McElwain retiring at Central Michigan. Another MAC opening.

Now he’ll have a lot of time to golf with Connor Stalions.

Apparently he's staying on as an assistant to the AD. So basically a consultant and still pulling some sort of income.

Kevin Wilson fired at Tulsa.

Pete Thamel reporting that East Carolina is expected to promote their interim Blake Harrell to be the full-time HC.

Mack Brown fired at North Carolina.
