He had a lot of early interest from some big programs...maybe grades scared them off?

He is 6'-3" 249 runs a 4.8. Sounds like the protype of a DE in our program.

James is the player I mentioned last Sunday. He was at the UT bball game and this kid looks very, very impressive on the hoof. I am hearing this fellow was a pure under the radar guy in Goose Creek who is qualified. As stated, Maryland/Blackney think he's a player.
Probably just trying to keep him from being a late Clemson signee and playing against them!
Might just be a gem. As always, time will tell.

Senior defensive end Thomas James was honored Monday as the Palmetto Touchdown Club's Defensive Player of the Week. Thomas lead GC in a 36-7 victory over Summerville with 9 tackles, which included 5 solo tackles, and recovered a fumble.
