Pretty brutal first 5 weeks. Coming out of that 1-4 will be the expectation.

This is probably a tad optimistic. I can see the UB, Toledo, and even the Tarleton games being toss ups. 6-6 best case scenario, 4-8 or 3-9 being losing all the 50/50 games.

At Toledo on a weeknight in November is beyond stupid.

Never know with Iowa State. I remember 21 out of their 22 starters hit the portal during the coaching change

Unless Tarleton lost a lot they are a good amount better than us which means an 0-5 start is very possible. The 4 home conference games should be favorites but the 4 road games were probably underdogs

Well, so much to talk about and so little time to discuss it, so let's dive right in....
BG’s annual slide into the abyss – where it remains a permanent fixture - will continue this year. The 2026 season will see BG’s finish with a losing record for the 9th time in 11 consecutive seasons! BG’s MAC Championship drought will extend to 11 years! BG’s bowl game win drought will extend to 12 years! The only realistic goal for this downtrodden program is to improve on its MAC finish of 11th place last year – ahead of the only winless team in the FBS. Talk about an utterly putrid state of affairs for the BG football program!!! This program is – and has been – straight up hot garbage for a decade now - with no end in site!
BG gets the idiotic award for non-conference scheduling in the MAC this year! Well done. WTF is BG doing scheduling one of the best FCS programs in the country in Tarleton State?!?! The idea of scheduling – and paying I might add – an FCS team for a home game is to get a win. So what does BG do?! It goes out and schedules one of the best teams in the FCS in Tarelton State – who by the way – is coming off a 12-win season after advancing to the Quarterfinals of the Playoffs in a season where they beat an FBS program as they finished #6 in the country! WTH is BG - a putrid program in search of any win – doing scheduling this as its FCS home game??? It’s beyond a horrible game to schedule!
Ahhh, but alas BG fans, the MAC scheduling Gods are looking down on you and recognize all the decade+ long misery I mentioned above. There's still something to celebrate about! The MAC schedule makers have spared you a 9th loss in the last 10 years to OHIO by not putting the Bobcats on the schedule, eliminating yet another guaranteed loss for BG vs OU. Ohio has owned, abused and obliterated BG in all but one game in the past decade, and this year the Falcons are saved by the schedule makers from having it happen yet again! See, even a jinxed and doomed program like BG can find a silver lining when it comes to Ohio football. So enjoy missing getting you @ss handed to you again Falcons fans this season by the Bobcats! Because rest assured, it’s coming again next season. But don't go and get too excited about missing out on another loss to OHIO. The MAC gave BG road games against MAC Champion WMU, runner-up Miami and contender Toledo. How's that for a consolation for missing out on OHIO?!

I hope we can get through healthy those first 4 games

Blade is reporting that the Battle of I-75 game is moving from Wednesday 11/18 to Friday 11/20. Will be at 7:30pm and broadcast on ESPN2. Major improvement and should result in a packed stadium.
