Few days late but good to add to round out the schedule. It's winnable as far as p4 games go, it's different, and I'm sure we have some fans/alumni in the area. I know education program gets heavily recruited by the Carolinas. We have three fbs teams for that year Minnesota, South Alabama, and South Carolina all on the road. I'm sure an fcs team will round out that year. Not a bad schedule since we're in the middle of a 3 year stretch with 6 home games

We were scheduled to play the Gamecocks on September 15th, 2001. Urban against his former coach (Lou Holtz) . Ended up scheduling Northwestern at the end of the season and getting a huge win.
I was actually in Columbia, SC on September 11th.

We were there on 9/11 also, after spending the day enroute on our motorcycle, listening to the Bob&Tom Show attempting to keep current with what was happening.

We were going to hit Myrtle Beach for a few days and then drive to Columbia for the game in 2001. Well, that didn't happen as we drove to NC and back doing different things along the way.

Made the trip to Evanston to witness probably the most electric game BG game I ever attended. 43-42 win against NW. After the game, Mrs. Freak asked if I was ok to drive and I told her I was so jacked up, I wasn't sleeping for days. Drove from Chicago to Akron without a hitch. lol

Would be a fun one to attend. Since Myles Pizza relocated to Greenville I hope they do a special tailgate there
