UNtil we figure out a way to beat Miami we can't call ourselves the Beast of the East. Miami is the only MAC team with a winning record all-time against BG. But Omar is better than Betts so we have that going for us.

I really don't see any reason why we can't win the East next year. Only Miami poses a real big threat and MAYBE Akron, but we should have Miami at home and I think Akron, if memory serves me correct.

Great thinking, but I think Miami took that moniker in 2003 when they beat us twice and walked away with the east titile and again took the East title this past season.

I agree with Falcon Flier...Miami has always been a thorn in our side and has won the last SIX meetings.

I think BG will be the fave but to get to the MACC, we're gonna have to beat the 'Hawks. Akron will be a force...believe it. They may have lost Frye but JD Brookhardt had a fine recruiting class and they have upgraded the facilities on campus....some of the nicest facilities in the Midwest.

I think we'll get Miami, Ohio U and Akron at the Doyt and be on the road for Kent State and Buffalo...just a hunch. We last played @ Miami (not counting the MACC in '03) @ Akron in 2001 and @ OU last year.
