The Boise State board says that their tentative schedule lists 9/17 (Sat) as the day of the game, but Hawkins (BSU's coach) expects it to be moved to Tues (9/20) or Wed (9/21) for ESPN.

This would not surprise me at all as this has to be a jaw-dropping match-up for ESPN. If you love offense, here's your game, b/c with or without Vance Joseph our DBs will struggle to guard them until we get others in the mix.

No way will I make it out there anyway. This one has ESPN/2 all over it.
Option,
I'm afraid you're right.

Thank you Freak. I want Mayberry and Jordan to be as successful as anyone on the team, past history in big games, has proven otherwise though. I would just like to see people like Waldron, Dozier and some of the younger guys to get a chance too. If anyone on here or the coaching staff wants to argue that despite eligibility Jelani Jordan is the best coverage corner we have, then we better damn well start pursuing DBs a lot sooner in the recruiting process. I know I'm alone or in a very small minority here when I say this, but I would've been tempted to burn redshirts in the second half of the Glass Bowl Collapse to see if Waldron and Dozier were any better.
Trust me.....

WOW!!! I didn't know Vance had been planning on suiting up this year before he left
Can't you just wait for the game, watch, and try to enjoy it before worrying about which DB will make the first mistake of the season?

I can't stand the thought of this game being moved away from Saturday for several reasons:
1. With a 9/3 road game at Wisconsin and possible 9/21 game at Boise, the first home game will most likely be 10/1 against Temple. Unless we get a home MAC game 9/10 like we had against Buffalo in 2001, then we won't get to see the boys in the Doyt until October. Bad weather = worse attendance.
2. These guys are STUDENT-athletes. This particular weeknight game will force them out of the classroom for probably 3 days. Keep it on Saturday and the guys only lose 1 day of class.
3. There is absolutely no way that I can go.

Ditto on all three counts.
But in addition, as an FMB member, it puts MAJOR stress on our rehearsal schedule, as it had this year with a 5 week break between home games. It just kills morale and momentum. I hope they get it worked out soon though, so we can at least begin to plan.

Wouldn't the Temple game here in BG be in between those two dates somewhere? Jeff

I pretty much agree.
At least it's not a weeknight home game.

If ESPN takes it to a week night after 9/17, look for a home MAC game 9/10. Hard to imagine a scenario where we play two football games before 10/1 and none at home. Don't think P. Krebs or the MAC/Chryst will put us in that position. Hope not.
Go Falcons!

Just my opinion, but I would bet that we have a home MAC game on 9/10 regardless of when the Boise St game actually is played.
