Football Recruit

One of our o-line recruits, Jarrett Buckosh, had an outstanding game last night with 22 points and 11 boards in Lorain Clearview's loss to undefeated Rocky River Lutheran West. Buckosh went head-to-head and outplayed LW's 6'10" Richard Semrau. Semrau is one of the top juniors in Ohio and is being actively recruited by North Carolina, Kentucky, Wake, and Louisville.

Buckosh played tight end (why do we recruit so many of those?) in high school but will be moved to the o-line at BG. He's currently in the 6'6"/250 lb. range so he's going to have to bulk up. He's obviously a good athlete, a very intelligent kid, and has a big frame. Sounds like a kid with a lot of potential on the o-line. Just another kid in our "lousy" recruiting class who'll be redshirted because he's not very good :)

Fast, Quick, Athletic, Large Frame - essentials to build on. Fast, Quick, Athletic linemen can pickup blitzing linebackers which are Faster, Quicker, more Athletic, etc.

Right on EV....look at Kory Lichtensteiger....not the biggest O lineman but very quick. Heck of a hoops player in HS at 6'3", 290 as well.

GO FALCONS!!

tswam, thanks for that excellent report. As you say, this O line recruit must be quite an athlete. And isn't he the 4.0 student also?

When you add a Mom who is a BG lettewrwoman, that is a pretty good package! Appreciate the info.

Go Falcons!

Commander, I believe this young man's Mom was a good swimmer at BG back in her day. I think this kid could help us in 2006.

Go Falcons!
