Yeah, but they named Amstutz most overrated, so it kind of balances everything out.

Look at it this way, is there a truly good defense in the MAC right now?
Everyone torches everyone else. So Beckman's the best of a struggling lot.
I do know this, Gregg Brandon has a lot of faith in Beckman as his DC and I have a lot of faith in Brandon's judgement as a head coach.

I would not say that Joe Novak is underrated. His team should have won the west last year, but UT is in thier heads so they played a stupid game and lost to the Rockets. In my mind, you hang that loss on the coach.

Our defense played fine as long as we were up against a bottom feeder. Any contender, UT, NIU and Marshall, it collapsed. They played a good 2nd half against Memphis though. If we could just learn to play D in a big game, we would be the total package, nearly unbeatable in the MAC.
