This couldn't come at a better time for BG. Under Alvarez, Wisconsin has been known for their defense more than their offense. I think BG has a real advantage since this is the first game for both teams. That is correct isn't it?

It's way too early to predict until both teams conclude their Spring Practice. But I think a variety of possibilities exist. If BG's offense is on target, I don't see how Wisconsin can embarrass us. In fact, I think the probability of a blow out is more on BG's side.

True, Wisky is losing plenty on defense. That being said, I suspect Alvarez has plenty of horses to reload. And if we're talking about holes on defense, look no further than our beloved Falcons. Our defense was, at best, erratic last year, and we're losing two of our biggest playmakers in Newsom and Burkes. Crossley is gone, Leininger is out, Perry (who I was expecting to step up in a big way) could be an academic casualty. The Badgers may not be known for offense, but that doesn't mean they are totally inept.

Our offense will be able to move the ball and score. They can do that on anyone, as evidenced all of last year, including Oklahoma.

Remember, too, that the game is at Camp Randall, one of the THE toughest places to play in all of college football.

If our defense steps it up - and that is a big, no make that monsterous, IF, the Falcons have a shot. But to say the probability of a blowout is on BG's side isbeyond wishful thinking.

I wouldn't go so far as to say a blow out, but it won't be a shoot out like Boise will be. I'll probably be there cheering the Falcons on though.

Wisconsin is aenemic on offense but just brought in a guy from Oregon State to serve as "co-coordinator" and try and juice things up.

With Omar and company back, the only way Wisconsin stays in the game is by pounding the ball on the ground and running clock. The key will be how our D-line and LB's hold up to get the offense back on the field.
