Football gift for Dad's b-day

Post by momtartin »

After reading Grants post when the forums were shut down, and realizing that my Dads' birthday is coming up soon, I decided that I want to get my dad something special to do with BG football, since he's turning the big 45. He's always been a huge fan of BG football (like Father, like Son), and considering he's an alumni of BG, I wanted to get him something to do with the football team, so that he always has a part of the football program around at home. I was thinking a decent size picture of the stadium that I could frame, or something like that. I figured this would be the place to ask opinions for. Keep in mind that I am a poor college student and have limited funds. But I'd appreciate any suggestions.

Have you checked this thread? http://www.ay-ziggy-zoomba.com/phpBB2/v ... php?t=4783

There's a link in that thread to a nice poster of an aerial view of campus, and if you page through, you'll also find a nice poster of a jammed Doyt.

I saw that, and was thinking about it, I just didn't wanna limit my options though. I also was maybe thinking maybe a bit of a wider shot. I remember someone else showing a different stadium shot, but I forget where it was. It was like a night shot. That one looked nice too.

I know I saw a big framed photo of a packed Doyt from an aerial view, in the Bee Gee bookstore, when it was still open... (it is closed now, right?) Maybe they have it at SBX? It was from a few years back and pretty darn awesome. I think I remember it being kinda pricey though.

Edit: They don't seem to have it on http://www.sbxgofalcons.com... although they do have two pretty cool posters from the Oklahoma and OSU games. Just not the same as the Doyt though.

Grant posted a wide shot. It's the only one I've ever seen so I assume it's the same thing you are talking about.
