Wisconsin fans not concerned at all about us

Doesn't seem the badgers take us too seriously. I wonder if they should go ask Purdue what happens when a big 11 team takes us lightly. On top of that, Purdue was better that year than Wisky is this year and Our team will be better than that team. I honestly think, and this is without my orange and brown glasses on, that we will beat Wisconsin by 10+ points. i'm not going to bother backing it up with facts yet because it's only March, but I firmly believe it.

Good...I was afraid they might actually get up for this game with the national attention (and possible ranking) coming in. Like it or not the attitude of the fans often times reflects the attitude of the team (or vice versa).

Jacobs is no Orton!? HAHA! That's the truth. J5 outplayed Orton 2 years ago in West Lafayette and Omar is real close to being better than J5 already.

My biggest concern is that they're right with quotes like this one, "Even WE can pass on them" If Whiskey can pass on us it could be a long year, because their QB is terrible, and they don't help him with any playmakers at the WR spot either. Barring a major leap in development they have very little talent at the skill positions.

Those guys sound a lot like the Purdue fans did a couple of years ago.
I'm really looking forward to the trip to Madison.

If we beat them, they'll just chalk it up to their team having a bad game anyway, and will never conceed that at MAC team could actually be better. It's a losing battle in that way.

We're going to need to befriend a local to come up with a good place for us to gather prior to the game (ie easily accessable and not hostile. . .)

Agreed! Anyone start finding hotel information yet? We've looked kind of casually, trying to find somewhere closer to the bar scene than the stadium, though proximity to both would be nice, of course.

I'm really thinking of making that trip up there. Since it's Labor Day, it'd be pretty sweet. Purdue, so far, is my all time favorite football game attended live. I'd like a chance to top that :)

That is true, but we can still say that we won...and winning us usually the bottom line.

Hammb...I may want to head up with you, depending on my schedule.

They should be worried even if BGSU wasn't lined up to be a strong FB program this season. Wisconsin has been beaten (and nearly beaten) by midmajors a lot in recent years. Fresno put some hurting on them and got raped by some homer ref calls in another game up there...

They should look at the history of their own team, where they're at this year and take good teams seriously. I'm really sorry, but let's face reality, Conference isn't everything and any of these BCS conference teams would rather play Baylor, Vanderbilt or Rutgers than a quality midmajor conference team.

Badgers are going down this year.

You're right. Northern Illionois almost pulled off beating them, but the Big 10 refs called back a touchdown. I believe the final margin of victory was ten points, but when you blow a touchdown call it can have a dramatic affect on the play of a team. Oh yeah, I did forget to mention, the Big 10 did issue an apology....w00t.

Didnt Akron get an official letter of apology from the Big 10 after they had all but beaten Wisconsin two years ago? The refs just did everything they could to make sure the badgers won.

I hope everyone takes us lightly, including the rest of the MAC. I say it every year....last year is just that - last year. We're going to have to go out and prove ourselves all over again. The rest of the world knows us as a non-BCS team and although we are, we're better than a lot of them and year-in and year-out, we always get the lack of respect. Frankly, I sometimes like it. But the bottom line is, despite all of our success, we haven't even won the MAC yet. We've been ranked, we've been to and won bowl games, but we haven't won the MAC. That's my wish this year....if we can finally win the MAC, we'll get another bowl bid. It about time we bring some MAC hardware back to BG!!!

Hammb? I cant remember when I attended my last football game that wasn't live. Oh wait, I think it was back in high school when they rolled the TV/VCR out on the field on a cart and replayed a game from a few years prior. :o

not sure about akron, but sounds like when UT played Minn 3(?) years ago the refs blew the game and UT recieved an apology for that(not that it really changes anything).
