Not sure if anyone seen this is the USATODAY.COM MAC report for BG.
SCHEDULE SITUATION: The Falcons opened 2004 by getting routed by Oklahoma but still managed to bounce back and win a bowl game. BG won't have as tough of an opponent this year, but it would help if the Falcons got off to a faster start.
I would like to know why a loss to a defending national champion by only 2 touchdowns, on the first game of the year, with a new QB is considered a rout????

And I also looked forward to those weekly reports.

The only people who considered us to be in that game are.... us. Every news publication in the country acted liked they rolled us in that game. And actually 40-24 is as close as anyone got to them in Norman last year. Had that not been Jacobs first career start we could have scored more.

Well then when BG beats Wisconsin by a 35-14 score I hope this some person says, BG routs Wisconsin.

I seem to recall a number of Sooner fans giving us some love after that game and the word blowout isn't part of that recollection.

I can still remember the front page of ESPN.com saying 'Sooners Roll' or something very close to that. Most of the articles i read made it seem like Oklahoma went was up 37-10, and let up some to make the score closer. We know better, but very few other people do.

actually ESPN used the word cruised.
Sooners cruise behind two 100-yard rushers

LSU played BG???
Seriously, they weren't defending national champions, but I agree with you're general sentiment. Unfortunately, sportswriters are lazy!

As a former sportswriter, I resemble that remark.

Folks, it's USAToday.
Flimsy paper, lots of color (not all in the lines) and elementary lanuguage boardering on insulting. There is very little between that rag and one of my daughter's Dora The Explorer coloring books.
