Hey I talked with someone who works with the football team today and he told me that the Toledo game will continue to be the last game of the season because they wanted to keep it there so the big rivalry game is at the end. He said if they gotta play 'em again in the MAC title game then so be it. He also said the Boise St. game will be on ESPN, probably on a wednesday night, and that both the Miami and Toledo will also be televised by ESPN. He thinks abc sports will pick up the Wisky game at the beginning of the year too. I'm a first time poster and I figured I'd let everyone about this info because alot of people have been talking about it. Take it for it's what it's worth.

If this is true, sounds like a sweet deal. 4 nationally televised games, not including the MAC championship and a bowl game could make it 6 ! I like the idea of playin Toledo the last game, but that would be kinda weird if we have to play them back to back weeks, who does that? Honestly?
Plus as much as I LOVE playing UT, its somewhat unfair to us that we must play one of the best teams of the West year in and year out while all the other MAC west teams are on a rotation.
just my 2 cents.

I have no problem with us playing UT year in and year out if they continue to be a MAC West power house. I want us playing the best teams every weekend.

To go along with what transfer said, As long as we can play up there with the power house teams, whether it's turdledo, wisky, boise st., or ohio state, it will help us out in the long run. Let the other teams play the "directional" michigans or buffalos, they won't get the higher rankings in the end(as long as we can win our big games that is).
Time for me to step down off the soap box...

And let's not forget about attendance. This means a guaranteed sellout at the Doyt every other year.

Totally agree. I wanna play UT every year...beating them twice would be even better.
I just hope that Miami game doesn't get moved to a weeknight for ESPN...but I bet it will. Since I won't be going to Wisky or Boise, TV is perfect. But I wanna be at every other game!
GO FALCONS!!! 2005 MAC TITLE!

I think we should have the pleasure of beating Toledo every year, not just once in a while. And has others have pointed out playing a tuffer schedule helps us out (assuming we win. on the off chance we lose those games we are rightously screwed). The BGSU TU rivalry is one of, if not the biggest rivalry in the MAC. As much as I hate comparing BG to the Big Ten, do you think it would be wise if for some reason the Big Ten was split into divisions and the U of M OSWho game was split? The sun would have better chances of exploding before that would happen, and I think the same should be said for the BGSU TU game. Just my 1.42376 cents worth.

I also heard the same thing, that the UT game willbe the Tuesday before Thanksgiving as it was this year.
And I echo the other sentiments - let's play UT, keep up the big rivalry, and show that we can beat the big guys, not just the little directional schools.
As they say, "Keep your friends close and your enemies closer."

This just means we beat them two times in a row, instead of only once

I'd say our game with Wisky will be ABC Regional/ESPN GamePlan.

Like I said ESPN is looking to have it televised. Not on ABC regional/ESPN+
