I dont know how many others feel about this subject but I am sick and tired of all these wristbands. Yes I thought it was a nice idea for Lance Armstrong and what he accomplished and did. You make a $1 donation you get a wristband. Now there are wristbands for everything. For sobriety, for abstinence, for drugs, for the tsunami victims, for the red cross. I even saw a bracelt a few weeks ago on two guys walking around on campus, it was for support of gays and lesbians. When will it ever end. If BG does sell this wristband I will not buy it. Enough is enough! I am sure Armstrong is very upset and angry about what his idea has led to.

I don't know why he would be... it's no worse than any other fad. And it's better than some, because at least it can support causes one believes in, rather than just brand names. *shrugs*

I'm all for them because of the amazing amount of money it raises for any group that carries them. I know some people who wear 5 different wristbands. I just have a Livestrong and Hope Band (MS Society).

I'm definitely not against them! I've proudly wore my Dance Marathon one a lot. I'm just saying, they won't be a hit forever and I'm thinking the bookstore should have jumped on this way earlier because they would have sold a lot more.

I think many people wearing them are just doing it to make themselves look better to others or because it makes them think they are better then others. Like, "look at me, I support breast cancer awareness, Peta, save the whales and gay marraige. But you with no wristband, you have no soul because you don't wear any wristbands." It seems to me that people are using them to make political/social statements rather then rasing awareness about an issue. Just my thoughts.

I'm wearing my Chicago Cubs "Believe" wrist band right now. It raises money for the Cubs Charity "Cubs Care" and it makes me think that the Cubs will win a World Series before I die.
