Falcons looked sharp today!

Took in a little practice today and there was some real good hitting going on as the boys were full go for a bit.
Passing game looked very sharp when Omar was in there with Sanders and Sharon looking very good. Long pass into the wind to Sharon was a highlight.
PJ Pope was just tremendous with several long runs including a couple TD's. Boy, he looks fast. O lline is massive and did well.
First defense was quite effective with several of the fellows making some big plays. A number of rotating players. Plenty of spirited play.
A. Turner was throwing the ball with zip at times to redshirt frosh Partridge and Parks among others. Both looked like fine players.
All in all, we looked good. I guess the spring game will showcase some more of this type of play.
Go Falcons!

I caught a bit of practice today, too, while I was hackin' by on the golf course. Our O-line squad looks HUGE. From a distance, much bigger than last year.
Since I wasn't able to garner much from a distance, I will say that this is the first year that I have seen the team practice with stickers on their helmets.
Wish I could add more, but I can not that the Baseball team was also tied 3-3 with Bluffton as I played 16.

Actually Heidleberg is a VERY good D-3 team with a lot of local kids that are borderline D-1. Bluffton is not in their category.

Freak, since you brought up point about average size on the line, I just had to check it out.
Based on the height and weight listed on the roster, and using the 5 guys that are first on the depth chart, the average right now would be between
6'4/6'5 and 307lbs. That's probably last years weights, so you might be right on.
I think the questions or concerns that some people had earlier about the line are being answered.

307?? Add a couple Myles' pizzas to that.
I think our line will be just fine. Like Flipper said in another post, we have to reload almost every year on the line and we don't miss a beat. Warren and Lichtensteiger are All MAC and Nystrom, Markray, Watson, Culp and others have decent experience. Lanning could be a beast at Center.

Ok, I could take this 2 ways. You being serious because we played catch in Akron, or you making fun of me because I dislocated my knee throwing a football. Hopefully the first one!
And Flip, you bring up a good point

Just do what I do McMetz...puff your chest up and lie your ass off... I'll bet I can throw 405 up anytime...I just can't do it now because I strained my shoulder

Saying that I've never done that before would be a lie
