Ohio native will oversee department budget, business office and ticketing operations

Bowling Green, Ohio - Bowling Green State University Athletic Director Paul Krebs has named Mike Rockovich, a native of Middletown, Ohio, as Assistant Athletic Director for Financial Affairs. Rockovich will oversee the department's budget, business office and ticketing operations. He replaces David Sayler who left BGSU in February to become an Associate Athletic Director at Oregon State.
"My family and I believe that this is a perfect fit for us," said Rockovich, whose wife, the former Lou Ann Householder is a Bowling Green native. "I know that BGSU has a great reputation in athletics and academics and I'm really excited about returning to the business office side of intercollegiate athletics."
Rockovich has been the ticket manager at Northern Illinois University since August of 2003. Prior to that he was the athletic budget director and business manager at James Madison University from 2000 to 2003 and was the athletic business and ticket manager at East Tennessee State University from 1997 to 2000.
He also served as assistant athletic director at Rollins (Fla.) College from 1990 to 1997 and was assistant business manager at Lehigh from 1985 to 1990.
He earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Indiana University in 1984 and completed his master's degree in sports administration from the Ohio State University in 1985 and served as a graduate assistant in the Buckeyes ticket office.
He and his wife have two children, a son, Terry (5), and daughter, Wendy (2).
