Sebo Center Images

Post by ZiggyZoomba »

From BG-EV...

Here are scans of the rendering that are being shown of the Sebo Center. It wraps around from the North-East end of the current stadium and arcs around the north end zone.

The rising "point" of the roofline, with all the glass below, is designed to be seen from I-75 and will lighted at night. Should be striking from the highway - it is about time we tood advantage of our location on such a major highway, it always drove me nuts when we piled junk along the road.

The 7 pictures are available in the gallery uploads section starting on page 3.

I think that's a $ that looks like an 8. You could build a new convo center for 87 million and have enough left over for that club level nudie bar.

Wow, cool, I actually like it less seeing it from another angle. At best it is still a exceptionally "whelming" design. But aside from the uninspired look, as a facility its good to have.

haha...makes sense. I thought I heard it was going to be around 7-8 million that's why I was stunned when I saw that. Evidently I can't see.

Aren't those the same images that have been posted on bgsufalcons.com for the past three months?

I can't wait until they break ground and start on the project! Even though we know it's coming, I won't fully be able to envision it actually happening or appreciate what we're going to have until they actually start working on it.

What I like is that the building is going to join the northeast corner of the stadium.

Our stadium has always looked sort of half finished.

I'm not 100% certain that this is the actual finished design. Like what Tech83 said, "it's more than likely been "sexed up" to attract dollars."

I like the design. I'm interested to see how any convo center would look to the south.

I really don't expect as much glass as they have shown. It's too expensive to pretty much cover the whole building and wouldn't match the rest of the stadium very well.

I heard a lot of talk on Saturday that if it DOES not get started to be built that Sebo is pulling the funds. I think this will definitely put the project on the fast track!!
