Hey there.
I just got an e-mail from an old friend I haven't talked to in years. He's a Purdue alum, so I figured I'd reply with a picture of the scoreboard after the Purdue game.
But I can't find that picture anywhere.
If you've got it, or know where I can find it, would you mind posting it here?
Thanks in advance,
-TGIAS

Everytime I see that scoreboard, instead of being reminded about the amazing game, I think of that annoying train horn busting out of that! "Boiler up, woo woo!" Grrr that got on my nerves!

Yes that boiler up was annoying, but it sure felt good to be able to shut them up in the end!!

Hey everyone, i am new to this site, well actually i have been reading all of this stuff for awhile just have never posted anything, i am an 18yr old freshman at Purdue, i have lived in West Lafayette my entire life, but i am a HUGE BG Football fan, and i went to that game and sat right in the middle of the "John Purdue Club" (a bunch of washed up old people that call all of the players by their first and middle names as though they are their children) anyway i was the only one wearing Orange and Brown in that section and it was great, it was pretty peaceful most of the game, but honestly i seriously thought a fight was going to break out at the end, my friend who i sat with me had to hold me back, he likes Purdue but he knew they got beat fair and sqaure and he was getting frustrated with the Purdue fans treating me so poorly, i guess even Boiler Up toot toot can be even MORE ANNOYING if you are a Purdue fan and your team is losing to a MAC team that is a 2 score underdog... it was the greatest day of my life, i'll never forget it

Welcome BGSUFootballFan!
Class of 61 and I were at the game as were quite a few others on this site. Great to hear what a big BG fan you are...especially at a Big 10 school!
I only wish I could get that game on dvd or tape....one of the greatest games I've ever been at.
The Purdue fans were very cordial...we had no problems at all.
Big 10 teams hate losing to MAC teams....and it happens more than they want to admit.
Don't be a stranger. BTW, how did you become a huge BG fan smack dab in the middle of Boiler country??

well when i was little my parents always took me to Purdue football games, but then they were really bad, like 3-8 every year, so i wasnt interested much, but my g-pa was a huge ND fan because he grew up in South Bend, so i liked them and still do, but i sorta wanted to get a team of my own to root for, so my g-pa said hey this assistant Urban Meyer is gonna make a heck of a head coach someday, so when he went to Bowling Green, i was like ok im going to root for them, it was a lot of fun and i was really impressed by what he did there, but then he left for Utah and i was devistated, i didnt really want to follow him there cause i had fallen in love with BG, and with Purdue on the schedule for the next season i wanted all of my friends to see who this Bowling Green was that was on my t-shirt that i wore everyday, so of course BG won and all though i still like Urban Meyer and what he has done at Utah, i never trully fell in love, BG fans are great, that atmosphere is great, i love that they are in need of more fans, because thats an area where i can help, so here i am authentic as you can get.. i'll never leave BG's side now, but i do hope that we can hang to Brandon for a few more years!

Thanks for sharing BGSUFootballFan. That's a great story about Urban Meyer, ND and how you came to be a BG fan. I love when fans can give a nice explanantion as to why they became a fan. Welcome on board.
