For those of you who do not pay any attention to this site during the offseason they usually preview one or two teams a day during the week all the way up until August. I think UT is the first MAC team they have done. Take the information for what it is worth because afterall it is CFN.

UT doesn't get much attention nationally because they haven't been competitive in a OOC game against a decent opponent for more than 5 minutes.

That was what, 12 years ago? They got creamed by Minnie, Kansas and UCONN last year and I think Syracuse drilled them the year before that

Toledo is a good team within the conference, but god they suck out of it. Seriously, how do you get beat by Kansas?

UT beat Pitt in 2003....and drilled Penn State in 2000 in Happy Valley.
I think UT will win the West and get beat for the 2nd straight time in the MACC by BG.
I know NIU thinks "this is the year" every year but they never beat UT. The West is a 2 team race while the rest of the division is horrible. Until NIU actually beats UT, the rockettes are the fave.

Not only did they lose the OOC games, they lost ugly. Who can forget the barrage of personal fouls against Boston College or the flummoxed look of the defense after MINNESOTA and KANSAS dropped 60 on them? Those type of things stick in peoples' minds.
When it gets ugly, there's only so much filler about Amstutz carrying a whistle a broadcaster can dish out or a viewer can take.

Um, that was 63.
Each.
Lets not forget that.

You know gang, I'm all for disliking Toledo and all, but despite the fact that they got shellacked in some OOC games, let's not look past the fact that they beat NIU on the road, won the MAC West and, of course, the MACC. While we didn't fare so poorly in our OOC sked last year (then again, Temple & SEMO State are, well, 'nuff said), we couldn't beat NIU on the road, didn't with the MAC West and, of course, ended up watching the MACC game on TV.
Let's not even discuss the second half of the BG-UT game.

Great point '87. UT still won the MAC and that's the prize. And we better win it in 2005.

They beat us head to head and I can't wait to erase that bad memory at the Doyt this season. Worst 2nd half EVER!!!!
