Congratulations to Scott!

I'm not too surprised he went toward the end of the 7th, but I was really hoping to see him go higher.

He's got his chance now and I think he'll do just fine. I hope he has a long and successful career.

That had to be a long day for him. Congratulations to him! Many, many guys never get that shot.

I can't believe how many centers went ahead of him. I really thought he got disrespected. Especially considering the Patriots, already with his brother, took Nick Kaczur at the end of the 3rd round.

Now he's just got to prove himself. Look for Cole, Hawk, and Keon to become UDFA and Suisham to head North.

FINALLY!!! I sat thru that whole draft just to see Scott's name appear on the screen. How do teams draft centers half the talent of Scott in the earlier rounds? That kid from North Dakota State went before Scott? 2 OL from CMU?? That's great for the MAC but BG's offense is the one tearing it up, not CMU's. I stared in disbelief at some of the Centers going before Scott.

NY-BG-FAN,
I agree....disrespect isn't something new for Scott. When he wanted to play at Purdue, the coaches told him he wasn't good enough to play in the Big 10 and was a "MAC type" level player. He showed the Boilers in 2003!

I was getting so po'ed not seeing his name until finally, the Chargers took him. Scott has earned a shot. I hope he kicks total tail in the sunshine!

Way to go, Scott. And best of luck to all the Falcons in their quest to play at the next level. It is the only reason I watch the NFL or CFL....to see how BG and MAC kids do.

It amazes me how they take some guys and others go undrafted. Taylor Stubblefield the all time NCAA reception leader went undrafted. Ok, he is not a NFL prototype but you know he is going be a guy who works his butt off and won't drop many passes.

The guy was slow as molasses in his workouts. People question whether or not he'll be able to get open. I wouldn't be surprised to see him latch on somewhere though.

SD looks to be a good fit for him. In looking at the latest depth chart they only have two centers and neither have any wealth of experience. In addition, they only list two guards on each side of the ball as well if he makes the switch to guard.

Maurice Clarett is as slow as molasses and hasn't played a game in nearly two and a half years, yet still got picked up in third round.

Really that good?? 3rd round for a UT O-lineman is kinda shocking.

Kaczur had a lot of pub going into the season and was rated pretty highly by a lot of draftniks.

Kaczur is really that good....I believe he is the only 4 time ALL MAC OL in the history of the conference. He has great foot speed and just knocks the snot outta guys. Say what you will about UT...and we usually do, , but they have had some great lines. No wonder their RB's have been so solid over the last 10 years.

I thought for sure Scott would go in the 5th round or so...he should have.

Kaczur is projected to play guard for the Pats. Also, he is already 26 years old, having worked for two years after high school, then played some kind of junior football in Canada for a year before going to UT.
