Is Minnesota that good, or is Toledo's defense that bad?

It looks like our only legitimate competition is going to be NIU.

I have been saying all along that having a new QB is better than having no DLine. Their fans have been ripping Omar, assuaging their own fears by slaiming they will 'outscore' their opponents...

That NIU game looks very, very, very important now.

Minny may very well have the best RB corps in the NCAA. UT may have one of the worst defenses in the NCAA.

I've said all along that I think UT is the favorite in the west solely because they have us @ home. I still don't think they're nearly as good as everyone else thought; mainly because they have no defense.

The UT playing tonight cannot possibly be the overwhelming favorite to win the whole conference. Their DLine is nowhere, and their Dbacks are being torched nearly every passing play.

Looks like its going to be a good one.

1 preseason poll had the rockettes at #17!

Mark it down right now....BG clinches the West this yr on the No Class Bowl turf with a win over UT.

Falcon30,

All these UT fans were saying things like "What has Omar really done?" "Who has he really played?"

24-41, 218 yrds and 2 td's, no picks. A very good start for O4 against the best. He'll torch the UT "defense".

GO FALCONS!!! 7 days til the next one.

Whatever happened with the little bar fight a few weeks ago? What players if any are suspeneded or are they "still looking into the matter"?

They kicked two fourth stringers off the team who were also charged with minor crimes. There's been no other word on the other guys.

You can only let stuff go on like that before the team collapses on itself. UT has been the conference's most undisciplined team for some time, and perhaps tonight we are seeing the fruits of it.

Or not. Its a long season, and today's games don't count.....

It's now 63 - 7

Good Lord, Toledo.... c'mon!

Oh...and isn't it annoying how shiny that turf in the Metrodome is??

I can't decide...

...should I be laughing at the Rockettes, or upset that they're making the MAC look bad?

Right now, I'm mostly laughing at them.

Yeah, laughing at the Rockets is what I'm doing because of how much I hate them and how overrated they are. I don't feel that strongly about the MAC.

What he said!

I want the MAC to do well but all that preseason blubbering about UT was sickening. The Rockettes ain't the best in the MAC or the West division.
That D of theirs blows chunx.

I'm off to watch more football....

Way to go Falcons! You did well today.

It is a long season, they may well play better as it goes, and you just never know with the BGSU-ut game. However……

Ali-Amstutz and the 40 thieves looked and sounded like crap. So much the better. No more swagger, at least that they can justify. Talk of just needing to “outscore opponents” is the kind of weak logic you hear from basketball coaches who talk about relying, or needing to score lots of 3 pointers as an integral part of their offense…..but we will get to UT’s overrated basketball team later this year.

In any case, it is ut. No matter how the rest of the year might go, when the lose, it is proper and fitting to grind their noses into it. Let their convict players run amock, it will eventually wear thin on the folks in Toledo who didn’t got to ut. Let that profusely sweating Amstuz the Hutt slobber excuses for their fans. The biggest mistake UT made was when their caved to their babies and hired their favorite coach. They could have lured somebody of merit to the job, taken the program up a notch maybe. Instead, they hired the cheap and easy choice, and they’ll pay for it far more than they have or will gain from it.

Its UT, it sucks, and anything that helps nag at their deep rooted inferiority complex is a good thing.

Don't completely write off the Rockets yet . . . While it's hard to make adjustments from week to week, I would feel no more confident if UT was 1-9 on Nov. 23 than what they will probably finish at with 2 or 3 losses.

They are still dangerous on offense and until I see us tackle and put pressure on a QB consistently, I'm not overlooking them especially on their turf.

I laughed out loud when I saw The Blade this morning.

Some of those Rocket fans are soooo full of themselves. Gradkowski this, Gradkowski that, Omar is a untested freshman. And the media bought into quite a it of it.

We learned a lot yesterday.

This Northern Illinois game is *huge*.

ANy rivalry game, no matter what either team's record is, is a HUGE game. I"m not scared of Toledo, but I definitely wouldn't want to play them every week.

Gradzalwoeroijkdmenkevitz is over-rated.

No doubt, Option. But a Rocket team as strong as their hype was should have competed last night. Still has to be won on the field, but its going to be a good race.
