This guy would be near the top of my list for all time BG football greats.

"I LOVE THE IMAGE of the quarterback. I would much rather have my conference be known for the quarterback than the linebacker. I knew when I was playing there that I could play pro ball when I left. I'm looking for Bowling Green to win the MAC this year, and I'm going to come support them. I went to the Temple game last year and we absolutely destroyed them, it was great. I'm coaching my son Michael in Pop Warner so my schedule is pretty busy. But I am a big Falcon, I try to come out and play in the golf tournament every year. When BG needs me, I show up."
I love that end statement there. I will always remember Phil's flag in the 91 Cal Bowl. What an intense dude. We should see if he is coming to a game at Bowling Green this season and invite him to tailgate. Man, I think if you got that guy a uniform he'd go out on the field at 56 and knock a few heads around!!!

I'll see if I can get hold of him and extend an invite. Good call DD!

It is not... it is King Crimson's first, "In the Court of the Crimson King."

The Blasters were awesome in "Streets of Fire", as well as Willem DeFoe in black leather/vinyl coveralls.

Great stuff! Phil is one of my faves too. Remember the Cal Bowl in '91 when he ran onto the field after a big play? He got flagged for Unsportsmalike Conduct. He was wearing that goofy, multi colored hat and hiding his head. Blackney just fumed at him from a distance. What a riot!
I saw Phil at a BG game a couple years ago and I asked him about that day. He just laughed and stated how embarrassed he was about the whole deal. We MUST get him to the Tailgate!!!!! He rulez!!!
