Big Ten and MAC in schedule talks....

I don't know how this escaped mention, but USA Today noted that the Big Ten and MAC are talking about schedule deals now that the 12 game season is approved. The PAC 10 also was noted as having decided to play a full round-robin slate of conference games.
Not that playing such teams is new to us, just as over-paying such teams to play at their place isn't new for another MAC program.
However I wonder if we aren't going to get stuck with match-ups that make for good regional TV, but are not the best for the MAC teams playing. I would hope, but not expect to see some kind of deal to get some Big Ten squads into MAC stadiums, even if that is left generally undefined. I'd love to see any Big Ten team in DLP Stadium.
I also have to say its a nice thing to see the MAC on the fore-front of this. It helps nip other leagues in the bud for now.

You know that some team is going to end up getting screwed with the scheduling. Also, good luck on getting the Big 10 to allow one of their teams to play at a MAC site. There's just too much money to be made by the "lesser" conference team for the Big 10 to go along with it. Though I do admit it would be nice to see the Doyt packed full for once.

Yeah, there's no way a Minnesota, Indiana, Purdue, or Iowa ever come to a MAC site.

Probably wanted to ask if Youngstown State was in the MAC, and if they weren't, how many free cars would it take to get them there.

LOOK AT INDIANA's 1st GAME THIS YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and i know Purdue would play at a MAC school as well, b/c they have gone AT Wake Forest twice and they are even smaller than most MAC schools!

Wake Forest may have small enrollment numbers but it still a big name school. I think Purdue has a one for one with Toledo sometime in the next few years. It might be 2 for 1 but I remember reading about it a few months ago.

I think that was a sarcastic post by UK.
Those schools have all played at MAC sites within the past 3-4 seasons.
Heck, Iowa opened at Miami's Yeager Stadiium and finsihed the season at Miami's Pro Player/Dolphin Stadium for the Orange Bowl.

I'm pretty sure his tongue was planted firmly in cheek.
Purdue has played at Toledo and may be scheduled to do so again.

This thread has really made me laugh and smile this morning. Thanks DD and Schade. Don't you just love it when you have to explain someone else's sarcastic comments.

I hate using this little guy (

) and even when I do it doesn't seem to work as well as when TG uses it to talk about YSU.
