This is from CFN's news & notes section.
Temple
The Owls’ football program will join the MAC for the 2007 season, but will be eligible for one of the conferences’ two bowl berths in 2005 & 2006 … Official Temple Athletics Web Sitehttp://www.owlsports.com/sports/football/relea ... E_ID=16277. Does that make any sense? If they aren't officially coming on board till '07 why do they get to be eligable for one of our Bowl games this year and next? This seems really weird to me. I don't think I like the idea of Temple being able to go to one of our Bowls when they aren't a full fleged member yet. If we had 3 or 4 Bowls lock in our conference, I might not mind but we still only got 2 Bowl tie-ins.

In all honesty, do you think it really matters if the are eligible for the tie-ins. If they rip up their MAC games this year and next, and go through their OOC games equally well sure let them have it. But I don't think anyone really thinks Temple is going to even come close to qualifying for bowl games, which is probably why the MAC threw them the good-will bone.

I've heard that if you walk from New York to London, they'll make you King!

It might not make sense, or be fare, but...ummm....who thinks that Temple will beat out BG, UT, NIU, Miami, and whoever else to get one of the MAC's elusive bowls? Really, its not going to happen...Jeff

I haven't looked in depth at other team's schedules, put I bet when the SOS comes out, that is one of the top 10 in the country.

How does Temple get Miami(FL) at HOME on their schedule?? :?

because they play in an NFL facility and, at the time of scheduling, were in a bcs conference. Oh yeah...and because Miami knows they pose zero threat of an upset.
