An extra game

It's been rumored (or maybe it's true now) that the NCAA is going to add another game to its football schedule.
I think this is a great idea as a fan because it means you have another Saturday to spend on the couch watchin' BG, but I want to know if you guys think there's a downside to this that I'm overlooking.

People are getting nuts with the "post the previous thread" thing.

Here is a lesson for college kid. A little research goes a LONG way toward not looking like a complete moron. It's all right here on the board. It will go a long way to your attempt in an image remake.
A new rule?

Ok, I can't resist, I find this picture pretty funny. I'm sure most of us have asked a question that can ultimatly be solved on google (or search on the site)

The downside would be "sittin' on the couch" watchin' BG. How about walking all that way out to the stadium and watching the game in person? I know it's a jaunt, but I'm guessing most students could make it.

Missing a topic on the message boards and not wanting to use poor quality search tools which nearly all message boards come with is understandable. I’ve been bit by that bug myself a few times. Now missing a nationally noted topic like the 12th game, which extends beyond the boards, tis another thing.
But I am just hoping we don’t turn into “search the board” Nazis, it can and does become almost as much a distraction as a form of guidance.
Now lets go start another thread on football playoffs!

Actually, all this talk about Wisconsin makes me wonder why we haven't been talking about the game against Michigan

Exactly. I post on the Eagles MB alot and the "Search Nazis" are everywhere even when the search function is down. It gets a little annoying.

All of this internet police/sarcastic crap is the reason why the board got shut down in the first place. Why is everyone so offended when someone repeats a topic. Either answer the post or just ignore it. If you really have time to launch into a whole thing about previous topics you should look for a job with more hours.

Actually whats funny is that most of the responses haven't even been in response to Golfers question. I posted the links, because 1. the first one actually shows that the 12games have passed, and provides a link to the article. 2. It gives him lots of information in case he actually has something specific he wants to know as well. Personallly while sitting at home in the morning with sleeping kids I had the time, but don't really have any extra thoughts about the extra game and it looks like only one other person does right now as well.
Oh, yeah, golfer appreciated the links. next time I will use extra words and emoticons so I don't upset everyone

I agree.
Similar threads happen. This isn't the a library where everything has to be filed by the Dewey Decimal System or whatever.
