A friend of mine (also a BG grad) picked these up in a Meijer in Indy the other day:
They seem familiar, but I can't remember if they were brought up here. My brother says he saw them in the BG Meijer a few months ago. VERY COOL!!!

I've seen them at a couple Meijer's in Dayton/Huber Heights.

I don't have a Meijer's in Colorado or within over 1,000 miles.

I've always thought they were cool, but for $15-20 (remember, I'm on a college-kid budget), I really don't know what I'd do with these things.
Would I sit them head to head on game day, and then stare at them for 8 hours? Best thing that I thought of to do with them, is to put them on top of some longnecks, and re-enact the Bud Bowl every now and then.
Yeah, thats my take on the mini helmets, Jeff

The only thing I could think of to do with them would probably be to decorate my office at work.

As a gift, I'm perfectly happy with staring at them, or lining them up or whatever.

But you're probably right, for the price, I'd probably personally have gone with a replica mini-helmet.
But again, as a gift, they freaking rock!

Maggot, I love your post. That's exactly what I said when I first saw those things over break (I think at a sports shop at SouthPark Mall in Strongsville).
I also didn't get them because the set I had seen had Marshall in it. That and they were 25 bucks there.

Very cool, I'll have to check the Lexington area Meijer today when we go to see if they're carried in our area. I'll just have to buy a new set next year again if I want the Temple helmet and the WKU helmet if and when they join the MAC.

This is the first time I have seen them without Marshall and UCF. Then again, I haven't been looking for them.

I found a set at the Lids outlet in Belden Village, Canton. I know the $19 was kinda steep but why not?
They're pretty cool...much better than the 25 cent helmets we used to get in the machines.
95 days....

Thanks for making me aware of these. I just ordered a set through the internet at the address below. They were about $18.00 plus shipping. I can't wait till they get here. I'm going to line up BG's helmet on one side and all of our 2005 opponents in a row across from BG's helmet and each week we take down a team I'll remove a helmet from the line until there's none left!

Now you're just going to have to find a Temple, UW, and BSU helmet to complete the set. Might have to run the 2 minute offense to find the bowl helmet of the bowl opponent though.

I saw those at Lids in Great Northern Mall in North Olmsted, about 6 months ago. I am delighted to report that this paticular Lids has almost 15 different styles of BG hats. The sales kid said they sell a ton of BG hats. I was fired up! Evertime I go to a store that sells hats I ask for BG.

Makes sence since Cuyahoga County is the second largest draw for BG behind Lucas. I see BG stickers all over cars here in addition to people wearing shirts, hoodies, and hats. If we come anywhere close to the season we hope to have this year, the hype for the Cleveland/Wisconsin game at Browns Stadium should be unreal.

Man, I gotta remember that. The Lids in Canton and Akron have maybe 2 BG hats, but tons of Ohio U hats.
I'll be stopping on our next trip to Dana's mom's house in Elyria.
