Sign me up for Madison!

I just got back from Dallas (driving). Wife and I talked a lot about odds and ends type things during the trip. In other words, small talk with the life's partner.
September 2nd is my anniversary so I was all but out from the trip up to Madison. That, and I have heard from several sources that Madison is not a good place for visitors (sources who I now believe are full of gas.)
Anyhoo, the wife told me over this trip that to celebrate, it would be cool to spend it up in Madison w/o the curtain climber/deduction. As this is our 5th anniversary, it would be a most appropriate present to have the Falcons lay some wood to the Badgers.
So, I'm a GO for MADISON!
Do I have a great wife, or what?

Good news! I too just found out today that my Dad and I will be going for sure. I cannot wait. I wonder when the tickets will be in for purchase, I am not going to snooze on that just in case.
I know we have talked about this before, but who else will be there?

Me.
If you see my lying in the gutter somewhere in Madison, please replace my pants and find me a cab.

I'll probably not be in a state in which I could help you. I would probably replace your taxi and hail you a pair of trousers.

Good. As long as you're planning to do the weekend up right!

I LOVE that you referred to your kid as "curtain climber/deduction." LOVE IT.

A friend of mine was calling his kid "daddy's little tax deduction" before he was born. I got slapped for referring to my g/f as "my tax break" when the "m" word came up.

Oh yeah those are great descriptors, along with munchkin, rugrat, knee biter, dependant, and my favorite "fruit of my loin".
Nice that your getting a weekend to enjoy a good game and anniversary alone. at this point I don't when I'll ever get that again, but on the plus side, that might prevent Tiercel #4.

My 3.66666666666667 year old daughter has had other names
A few:
Creature
Offspring
Girl
Lil' One
Princess of Demandalot
Puppy
Child
Kitten
Pain-in-da-ass-isaurus (that's when she asked me what kind of dinasaur she was - the answer was actually a tricertops).
The only time I call her by her given name is when she is either in trouble, in danger, or just needs to be snapped out of whatever world she's enjoying.
Anyway, the wife and I are going to be staying in New Glarus (a swiss colony town). I'm hoping to get some place which has some sort of dinette so that I may join in on whatever tailgate we're all going to have.

My best friend's dad used to call him and his brother "bad rubber #1 and bad rubber #2" when they were going through their rebellion stage. One just graduated from medical school and the other should next year as well.

When she's acting like my wife, I call my daughter 'princess', "pumpkin" or "bird" (she used to sqauk like a bird when she was an infant).
When she's acting like me, she's "knucklehead" or "rockhead".

I think it has mostly been fixed, but in the old tax code, it was actually a
penalty to get married. You paid more tax then if you were single.

My co-workers make fun of me for referring to the old ball-and-chain as "the spouse" or "the wife." I still refer to coffee as "caffinated beverage" from my favorite spanish teacher, Mr. Bracht.

NICE!! That's great.
Mrs. Freak and I will celebrate #11 this Sept 10...and the Freaks and Freaklings will be road tripping to Muncie celebrating the day and a big ole victory. We will go out on Sept 17th....no game.
Having an understanding wife during football season is priceless.
Bring back the W from Madison!

Maryellen and I also celebrate our 11th on September 10... have we discussed this coincidence before?? What time of day was your wedding? Could we have been saying "I do" at the same moment? Ooooooh.... scary.....
