Lindy's, Phil Steele's, Sporting News and Athlon are all out

Lindy's, Sporting News and Athlon picks BG first....Phil Steele picks BG second to Miami. I'll try and include some more info later (I posted the Athlon picks in a thread already). Most of these publications are saying the East title will be decided on November 15th when BG plays at Miami. That trip to Oxford has already got me nervous. Man I hope this is finally the year we win the MAC. The last few seasons have been great, but as great as they have been, the MAC Title has eluded us. We've got to finally get it done this year.
GO BG!!!

Phil Steele's is the only one I get anymore. I used to get all of them but found the Steele's blows the rest away.
We MUST win in Oxford this year. Period.

Unfortunately, they are most accurate, too.
BTW - when are you going to go Four Falcons, Freak? It still says peregrine under your name.

Over on the MAC boards, someone posted Steele's rankings for this year and he had BG like 40th. Still have all the faith in Phil?

Yes, Steele's is the most accurate. But that's OK. BG will just prove him wrong this year.
I think one goes to Four Falcons at 2,500 posts...but I'm not positive.

Hmmm....I have faith in the coaching staff & team to get the job done and win the MAC.

If we don't win the MAC this year.....I don't know when it will happen again.

No negative waves, 33.

Positive thoughts all around. Man, I sound like a hippie in 'Frisco.
We will win the MAC in 2005.

Actually at 1000 you were able to name yourself and get your 4th Falcon head. Grant usually sends emails but since he doesn't come here as much, you might want to email him. It's not really a big deal to some people, but the more Falcons the better IMO!!!
Oh, and I hate driving to Miami. If we will ever win the MAC, we need to start winning BIG road games. Miami will be a test but I'll be there to support BG for sure!

It was Steele. But I was mistaken about the ranking. Miami at 22, Toledo at 28 and BG not even in the top 40.

Can anyone explain Purdue at #3 to me? They fell off the map last year, and at the very least lost their QB and the NCAA's leading receiver. Were they hiding something we don't know about?

I noticed that too and thought maybe this was the 2004 pre-season rankings.

Yeah, I know, I know......but I still remember all to well what happened the last time we went to Oxford, ranked and red-hot. Then we got thumped. It still stings. Miami is going to be tough again this season. But that's our 10th game of the year, and I'll be nervous for every single one we play in.

I hear ya loud and clear. We must get the job done in 2005. I know many of us feel anything less than the MAC title will be a MAJOR disappointment.
"FINISH THE JOB".
