Fluno Center in Madison

Post by SW-MI Falcon »

I've stayed at this hotel before. First class, but all rooms have only one bed. Rollaways are free. Lot's of bars around the hotel and it is walking distance to stadium. $155 for two people is an OK deal for downtown Madison. Gotta say you're from BG to get a reservation.

I saw that, I didn't know it was only one bed. We're at the Doubletree, about 11 blocks from the stadium, for $160 or so a night, with two beds for 5 or 6 people. (at least hopefully, to cut the cost of the room down some)

The Doubletree is close to the Fluno. Official BG pre-game bash at the Fluno, but when we get closer to the date, let's arrange a ziggy zoomba bash at some bar the night before?

Who said anything about the bed? While its on my credit card, I should theoretically be allowed a bed, the state I'm in, I'll be happy if I find a soft square of carpet for the night. :partyman:

Though tossing a few coeds into the mix probably wouldn't hurt either.

We're staying at the Super 8 on the West Beltline Hwy in Madison.

$80.00 per night with two big beds. It's 4-5 miles to the stadium but we plan to take cabs everywhere. With three months to plan we're sure there will be a big BG bash somewhere--hopefully starting Friday night.

In the interest of $$$, I think I might be staying at my place in the Chicago burbs the night before the game, and heading out around 8 in the morning. If the band ends up going, I might end up crashing with them at their hotel illegally though ;-) Jeff

Doubletree. Mmmmmmmmmm cookies.

I haven't decided where I'm going to stay yet. Wife wanted to stay in a Swiss village near Madison. They're having some huge festival so that may be out.

I'm in for an AZZ.com night!

We'll be up there Friday sometime, might get a round of golf in before the drinking, but will definitely be drinking along State Street at some point. An unofficial BG/AZZ bar could be pretty solid. If not a bar, then in room XXX at the Doubletree. Twenty bucks a head, unless you bring a coed.

Would my wife qualify as a co-ed?

We're considering driving up on Thursday and back on Sunday. We're going to stay in New Glarus, more than likely. It's about 25 miles outside of Madison, but it will be a nice place to stop. We'll do that town on Friday then drive up to Madison to reconnoiter and to fulfill my obligation to being the designated drunk*. I definitely want to hook up with a bunch of BG folks. I'd rather visit a local drinking establishment downtown wearing the Burnt Orange and Seal Brown!
We'll swap out cell numbers as the time nears.
