Video was very jumpy for me on a highspeed line, but the audio was clear.
I think it is great that BG is moving forward with this project and I think BG is doing it the right way.
Normal Students came 1st as it should be (and should remain that way), but now they are able to find a way to take care and cater to the student athlete.
I think BG after this project will be one of the most well rounded universities in the country. Of course that is a biased opinion, but because of their commitment to the average student, then add in the new facility for the student athlete, BG has all the tools and the priorities in the right place.

I guess I have to post my finds (12:38pm) in a new thread with links so people will look at my posts. I'm beginning to get the feeling that everyone ignores the UK Peregrine persona. A name change maybe in order. Good find though Tech.

KY Falcon.......it's kind of a lubricous name, don't you think.PGY Tiercel wrote: KY Falcon III
I just like to bury my insightful finds in other poeple's threads that way I can jump on people and say "hey, didn't you read all 5 pages on this particular thread where I made a post somewhere contained herein that has all of the pertinent information you need. No you obviously must not have OH SNAP." I usually get a good chuckle out of that for some reason. Oh, and my students and collegues ignore me all of the time, I'm fine with that. Just ask PGY. But when AZZ members start to ignore me, then we have problems. You guys are my BG compatriots, my confidants, when you guys ignore me, it scathes me. I mean really, you people who I, for the most part know only by a screen name, you guys are the one's I really depend upon.Tech83 wrote:Sorry dude, did not see it buried in the construction photos request thread...... Redskins4ever, I heard thru the grapevine (coming from a reliable source) the indoor football facility at Miami is a done deal. It is to go at the North end zone area. With the SEBO and all the renovations at Miami (Yager, Ice House, softball facility), BG and Miami should be the have best facilities in the state, let only the MAC.redskins4ever wrote:Enjoyed the video, and what Sidney said struck me as something very important to Falcon Athletics. They need the facilities to be top notch, and with as many games as I have seen at Doyt Perry, I think the stadium needs an overhaul, and I hope the Sebo for BG is just the begininning.

The indoor facility is a nice thing to add on to the team, but as many of the BG players can attest to, its rare if ever you get to see that facilitiy during the season! I do know that the indoor facility is part of the For Love and Honor Campaign so Im not surprised at all to see that the facility is coming to fruition.
Surprising as this may be, I think BG has a great opportunity to tap some regional resources and build a large following behind the team, and I am shocked that BG has been eliminating seating. I do hope that BG adds the second deck to the west stands... personally I believe that this will happen sooner rather then later, but its tough to lose momentmum in your attendance when you have the opportunity right now to garner more fan interest.
As for the best facilities in the MAC, thanks for that compliment, I think each school here in Ohio has one outstanding facility and some other ok facilities.
I love Miami's Football Facility, basketball is ok, Baseball will be great when the lights go up, and the Hockey Arena will finally be that!
BG has a great Hockey Arena, and I hope when Anderson goes, that they keep the intimacy of the arena. The Doyt has seen some great games, hopefully, BG can start bringing in some bigger names as well.

I have never seen a game at Miletti... I was in it for registration and graduation (M. Arch). But I certainly believe Charle Coles should be made Arch Bishop!! That guy can do miracles.....
The new ice house and what Enrico is doing with the team, should put us in contention for a national title - my firm belief. (Goggin is a not dump - just not the best place to watch hockey) I want to see BG and Miami in the CCHA championship game EVERY year and both getting NCAA bids.
Yager is just getting better and better.
The indoor facility will be able to used by other sports, I am thinking women's soccer, baseball/softball (80 foot ceilings is what I am hearing), track, and yes even the band. If BG is using their indoor facility enough, then shame on them. You have to program the space for use
I better stop before my fellow BG alum get on my a$$ about being too Miami today.... Maybe I'll pop my collar....

Just Saw The Video
Two things stuck out to me in the video, which was AWESOME. . .
1. Coach Gregg Brandon refers to the "M.A.C. Conference"
2. Krebs refers to a possible "Doyt Perry statue"
Wonder if he got that from browsing on here.
The DLP statue is one of my pipe dreams.
Another thing that I thought of while watching that video was an aesthetics things about the SEBO and the stadium. People have mentioned it may be the beginning of more upgrades to the stadium, and I thought of a simple one they could do.
The facade of the SEBO that faces in to the stadium seems to be of the red brick variety. Why not add some red brick to the front of the stands on each sideline. Wouldn't cost tooo much and would create cohesiveness to the SEBO and the rest of the stadium. . .
