Wow. I just saw on the Sunshine Network that they were replaying the UF-EMU game from 2004... i was thinking no way anyone would want to watch this, so i watched the 1st half. Ok at the end of the 1st half it was 28-10 UF, but still EMU should have been in the lead! I was shocked! This was in the swamp and EMU had a lot more passing yards, more first downs, more total yards, DOUBLE the time of possesion and even had the lead at one point! Our dear friend Urban Meyer may have a more difficult task on his hand then he knows! What do you think?

I agree....the SEC won't know how to stop the Gators. Urban will win a national title within 3 years in Gainesville.

i think they will push for it this year...i dont know what there current pre-season ranking is...but that could be what keeps them out if they start too low. unless they would happen to be 1 of 2 only undefeated teams. I'm not sure how strong the SEC is supposed to be this year. i dont hear much about them lately especially since USC has been dominating the last two years..it's all i hear about

I believe UF will play in the national championship game this year. He was on the Wamer show Friday. Same interview he always gives. Just replay the tape.

Yeah, I was gonna post a synopsis of his comments, but he really said nothing.
Talks to Brandon weekly.
Saw Omar & Chuck down there recently.
Loves BG still.
Was driving along the other day and realized he should call Krebs and thank him again for giving him his shot.
Etc, etc.
As for Urban in Florida, I'm with Freak. He'll win a NC within 3 years. I expect Leak to be in NYC for the Heisman ceremony this year. I also expect that he will turn those phenomenal athletes into some tough SOBs who can beat the hell out of almost any team in college football. For the past 4 years Florida has had some of the best talent in the NCAA. Zook actually recruited as well or better than Spurrier did. He just didn't get them to play. I've got a feeling that Urban will have those guys playing tough, hard nosed football.
Uuuuhhh....

He can stop taking pot-shots at BG during his Gator Club stump speeches any time now:

His current usefulness is to give the program the heads up on Florida area prospects as Blackney has been doing for us along the East Coast.

Do you honestly think they took EMU seriously though? They knew they wouldn't have to bring their A game to beat the Eagles. I wouldn't read into that game too much, on top of the fact it was early in the season.

I also think the weather was bad in that game. I might have it mixed up with when OU played them though.

no the weather was fine, no rain or wind or anything weird, im sure they didnt take EMU completely seriously which was part of my point, Auburn did a frickin insane thing by going 13-0 being in the SEC and they didnt win the NC, they didnt even play for it! dont expect UF to be like oh yea give a year or two and they'll win one for sure
