Based on checking a web site or two and talking to a few people, the following list of players may be considering BG as a destination for 2006. As always, some of these players will fall off our radar screen, others will
take themselves off our list and some will no doubt sign with BG in February. Many players are "recruited". fewer are "offered", and fewer will sign. Apologies for other threads that may list some of these players.

I'd love to get Kevin Green...he has something like 15-20 offers from schools in the MAC, Big 10 and Big East.

Quaker Valley High School quarterback Darren Rogers of Leetsdale (Pa.) has always been a prospect to watch and with two new scholarships in hand, perhaps schools are starting to see why we thought so highly of him.
"My family and I just got back from vacation in Virginia," Rogers said. "Before vacation I went to camps at Eastern Michigan and Toledo and I took unofficial visits to Kent State, the University of Richmond and William and Mary."
During the trip, Rogers added two new offers.
"I was offered a scholarship by Kent State University on my unofficial visit and I was also offered by the University New Hampshire over the phone," Rogers described. "While at Kent State, I toured the facilities and I was impressed by all of the construction taking place at their campus. They also have a great staff."
Rogers is hoping his current streak of good luck continues as he heads to the meat of his summer schedule, when he heads to some bigger schools and his first scholarship offer,
Bowling Green.
"This Friday I am visiting Bowling Green for an unofficial visit," Rogers continued. "I am going to Pittsburgh, West Virginia and Stanford next week."

FF1,
Most interesting in this info is how FEW Ohioans, in particular NE Ohio, are included on the list. Since NE and SW Ohio have become very "fertile" recruiting areas for us, it's a bit surprising to see so few home grown kids listed.

61, I wouldn't be too concerned about our efforts in NE Ohio. This list is just a fraction of the student-athletes we are recruting. I am no expert, but it wouldn't surprise me if we are actively involved with four or five times the number of kids on this short list. Maybe I am way off and it's eight times!
In any event, I am sure we are working hard in NE Ohio, Sometimes the "reporting" from various areas is a little slower or less. I think the three NE Ohio players listed sound like good players.
I like to follow it and I treat Signing Day like a national holiday. I may need to get a couple more hobbies.

Glad he's checking us out -- but, boy, there won't be much for a kid his age to see this time of year.
