To Omar and company, if you're reading this: If you're down about losing to OU or unsure of yourselves at this point, do yourselves a huge favor and read some threads on the OU Insiders board and see how incredible OU fans think you are.

"the way their qb stood up to our D and didnt act scared or frustrated at all.. not bad for a first year starter"

"Bowling Green was pesky. They kept plugging away which is a good thing..we need a couple of teams to test us before we get into big XII play."

"I agree with that one as well. That kid can flat play. I just couldn't believe how calm, cool, and collected this guy was. OU had some good shots at getting a sack, and the kid just took it away from them. BG is going to win quite a few games with this guy leading the way."

------------
Perhaps this is a good opportunity to recognize the coaches. I think they had to do a great job getting the team ready to play in that atmosphere. Keeping them calm and poised, etc.

McCall has seemingly done a good job with OJ, the dread'd one.

"Bowling Greens quarterback was the biggest suprise i thought. Good poise and way to move around....MAC teams are in for a tough time!!"

Gotta love that! Way to go Omar & Co.

Edit: I also gotta love how they analyzed Keon's Int for more than two pages there. Kind of comical how they spaz about one little play.

Well, considering how much time we spend talking about uniforms, colors and logos, we don't exactly have room to talk! :P

Those are all huge issues though! Someones INT return is minuscule in comparison :P

That's because we quite frankly hate that play, and if we were able to, we'd break into the offices of Chuck Long and shred and burn those pass plays from the playbook. When they are on the 'empty' side coveragewise they work great, but when they're sensed before the snap, and reacted on they turn into what happened Saturday.

No long plays...

I was impressed that we didn't get beat on the deep ball. I have all these memories of OK last year and Jason White airing the ball out deep down the field for a strike and doing it quite often. I'm talking about the 50 yard type bombs. DBs did well keeping that stuff underneath. Line did a good job not giving White that type of time.

I was most impressed with the O Line not allowing a sack of Omar. I know the BG coaches had him roll out of the pocket on many plays but still....

That and Terrell White's play at LB! BGSU 99 and 96 should be proud!

Omar impressed me the most. I was surprised that he didn't throw to Magner more.

Im more suprised that Cole actually didnt catch a ball that hti any part of his body. (I can remember 2 off hand) That guy is liek a black hole usually, nothing that he can get a hand on, no matter what, is inc. normally.

Don't forget....Cole is playing with a broken toe, which might be a slight distraction!!! You don't notice it while he is on the field, but off field he has a noticable limp.

Ahh I did not know this, i heard he was limping, but others said he wasnt. WE are positive he has a broken toe though? I hope its not TOO much a of a distraction. We need osme big time plays from him this year. Anyone else notice how god of a blocker he is too? Watching the OU game last night....man, he hits back as hard as any LB OU had.

I saw him around campus and he did limp noticibly. I hope he gets better soon.

Cole is one of the toughest players to every play for BG. We should be able to dispatch SE Mizzou without him playing much, which gives him two weeks to heal before the Huskies!
