A Miracle and a new Freaky Tailgate vehicle....

Before I get into this post, the first thing I want to do is thank God for His protection and presence. What happened Tuesday has been a sobering reminder that NOTHING in this life is guaranteed. I am extremely thankful and grateful my beautiful wife Dana is OK.
Dana was driving the Ford Escape home from work Tuesday when she drifted off the side of I 76 into some rough asphalt. When she tried to get the tires back up on the actual road, the back tire on the driver side blew out sending her into a fishtail. She smacked right into the concrete barrier twice and then the Escape rolled over twice, coming to a stop right side up off the interstate. No other cars were involved in the accident. The windshield was shattered as were 2 other windows. The Escape was totalled.
Dana gets out of the vehicle without a scratch. A few people stop to help her and comfort her until the police arrive. She was on her way to get the boys. I was, and continue to be, stunned that she didn't suffer any injuries. I saw the Escape yesterday and it was not a pretty site. I took her to Akron City Hospital that evening just to make sure everything was fine.
I have been on an emotional roller coaster the last 2 days. At one point I am so elated she's fine. 10 minutes later I am crying and trying to keep my sanity thinking what could have happened. I think it is only human nature to think "What if????". Dana's dad originally bought the Escape back in 2001 and purchased the side airbag as an extra. More than likely, the airbag and seatbelt saved her from injury and possibly her life.
So now we need a new car. After the insurance comes thru, I think we both agree on a new Ford Freestyle. Slick looking car and Dana's dad can get us a great deal from his Ford dealer friend in Huron. So, if we go with that, that will be the new Falconfreak Tailgatemobile.
For the last 2 days, football has meant nothing to me. It is a game. I know I go waaaaaaaaaaaaay overboard for Falcon Football but I am trying to keep it in perspective to life itself.
I love Dana more than anything on this planet and can't stand the thought of what could have happened.
Thanks for hearing me out on this. I think you all are a great group of people with big hearts and great friends. God bless you all.
