ESPNU College Football Preview Show
just got done watching a college football preview show, they talked about all of the BCS schools, and 5 teams in depth, USC, UF, ND, Tenn, and i forget the other one... they said almost nothing about the MAC, but when they asked the guy predictions of "suprise teams" he said "watch out for Toledo because they are the best team in the MAC besides Bowling Green" and then his NC game prediction was USC-tOSU and top 5 most likely to win the Heisman... 1. Leinhart 2. Bush 3. Peterson 4. ?? im so excited i just now forget, maybe it will come to me, and 5. OMAR JACOBS!!!!!!!!!
the guy who was making these predictions was the guy who always does the SEC night games on ESPN... he has a real unique voice... i think it might be Ron Franklin? i just know him as the guy that always says "wobbley spiral"

now i remember it was Ted Ginn Jr at #4, but they barely talked about any of them other than Omar, he said something like "we all assume those 1st 3... then TGJr because he's a real playmaker and then at #5 i have Omar Jacobs and outstanding QB from Bowling Green that threw 41 Touchdowns last year" then when asked who his own personal favorite to win was he answered "the best player from the best team" Omar4Heisman if BG can go undefeated!!!!!

Was that on SporstCenter? I usually get to see the first seven or eight minutes before I have to leave for work. This morning I saw them tease their top 5 Heisman candidates so I decided to record the show in case Omar was one of them. I'll have to check it out when I get home tonight.

You will be very disappointed. The segment you recorded is probably the same one that I saw on ESPNEws last night from Trev Alberts. This butt munch leaves Adrian Peterson off his top 5 list in favor of Chad Henne and Gerald Riggs, Jr.Warthog wrote:Was that on SporstCenter? Gottfried was a key organizer of the GMAC Bowl and got to see Omar first hand last year which would probably explains his rightful inclusion. If more national media-types saw Omar in person for themselves I have no doubt they'd reach similar conclusions.
He does have a unique voice. He kind of sounds like a southern version of Buffalo Bills GM Tom Donahoe.

i agree that other would respect Omar more if they saw him as much as we do, and he sorta does sound like a southern version of Tom Donahoe.

BG gets some respect, our QBs get respect, but certainly not our OL, RB and our WRs do get some respect b/c i have seen them ranked pretty high

Not sure if this was posted yet...Looks like we have at least one person on the national stage that thinks we'll upset in Madison...Regardless, I still think he's a jabroni. Read the last sentence: http://www.mercurynews.com/mld/mercuryn ... 192178.htm
