I was just looking at rivals.com and noticed that they had previous recruiting classes. Omar Jacobs was listed on there as the 52nd best QB in the nation and a two-star QB. It's just interesting to look at how some of these people have developed.

That's why injuries are always a wild card in sports. Nobody really knows how a player will come back from a serious injury. They could stay on the same development path, fall 2 or 3 years behind, or never live up to their pre-injury potential. Our place in CF right now is to give kids like this a home anda chance to develop into the studs they were presumably "going" to be. Look at what happened with McGahee. He was a lock for a top 5 pick, got injured, and fell to the bottom of the first round. Now it looks like he may be reaching his original potential. Same deal with Jacobs. I don't mean this as a knock to our program, but he got injured and "fell" to us.
Worked out pretty good if you ask me. I bet Omar thinks the same. Hell DJ Shockley was a top QB prospect. He rotted on the bench for years behind Greene at Georgia and is now getting a chance to start in his senior year. if he had gone to a Miami or a BG where he could play for 3 or 4 years, he might be getting all the preseason hype instead of Omar and be a first round "lock". Now he'd be lucky to have a good season and get drafted in the first few rounds.
Roll Along!
