Just get a can of orange spray paint and start writing "Beware the Flock" around Madison on overpasses - kind of like the "Trust Jesus" guy.Falcon30 wrote:I am in the econo lodge in Madison - anyone have any good graffiti I should spread around the city?
That wouldn't stop their tailback, Calhoun.Falcon30 wrote:It is hard to pick a fight when there are very few strudents here and you have your family (wome) with you and impressionable young children.
Don't you mean Booker Stanley? I mean, assuming you're playing off the shoving women around reference.Dayons_Den wrote:That wouldn't stop their tailback, Calhoun.Falcon30 wrote:It is hard to pick a fight when there are very few strudents here and you have your family (wome) with you and impressionable young children.
Bucky - we passed Ella's Deli on the way to the Uno's and back. We decided not to give it a go because the kids were tired and a bit surly from the car ride down from the northwoods.BigAppleBucky wrote:That and the terrace behind it are just great spots.
If kids are in tow, go through the food line and get them some of Carson Gully's fudge bottom pie. (Carson Gully was a much revered black chef on campus in the first half of the 20th century.)
For dinner (or lunch) with kids, take them to Ella's Deli on East Washington Ave. It's just East of the intersection of East Johnson and E. Wash. Not sure it's still there, but they used to have a merry-go-round out front. I promise it will be one of the things your kids remember about the entire trip.
