BG In Top 25 All-time

Post by FALCON FLIER »

Just saw the winning percentages all time for 117 Division 1 schools. BG's winning percentage is right at .600 and we figure to overtake Central Michigan who is at .603. By the way, number 117 all-time is Kent with a winning percentage of .393. (which is actually higher than I thought it would be).

Now if you look at the all-time point differential, Northwestern is the cellar dwellar and Kent junps all the way to 114. Wake Forest is 116 when ranking all teams by either statistic of winning % or point diff. Also, just in case anyone wants to look at the entire rankings themselves.... http://www.cfbdatawarehouse.com/data/mi ... ng_pct.php

I think they should do that with a minimum 400 games played or something.

The fact South Florida is in the mix is a joke... heck even Boise State doesn't have that many D-IA games played.

I'm just amused by the fact that the ratings of all the top 25 teams are determined by hundreds of games, except for South Florida, whose games don't even reach triple digits.

Yeah, well, you think South Florida is funny....

I think it's funny, I look at the top 25, and see many teams that have had their coaching cores, and best coaches from the Cradle. (I'm not trying to say Miami is better than every, obviously we aren't.) Wonder what would have happenned if Weeb had stayed for his career, or Woody Hayes, or Bo Schembechler... or Tressel, or Ara Parseghian? I like the Cradle, but goodness, it hurts to look back sometimes!

Funny fact....
He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named accounts for 1/8th(I think) of Miami's losses. This HWMNB is now Toledo's Defensive Coordinator....
