According to the Northern Illinois board, Air Force has just dropped a 1 and 1 with Northwestern in 2006 and 2007.
Looks like this would be a great opportunity for a MAC team to play a 1 and 1 with Northwestern. Right now, I can't remember how open BG is for 2006 and 2007. Northern Illinois plays at Northwestern this year. Miami and Northwestern seem to have a good relationship. Of course, Brandon used to coach at Northwestern and the 2003 Motor City Bowl game seemed to leave both teams pretty friendly.

Well, with the 12th game being added, sounds like there could be a great opportunity to get a 1 and 1 with NW.

Or with Air Force.

Or both.

Or both.

We could send Omar to Evanston to lead the orange squad and Turner to Colorado to lead the brown squad.

Yeah but they have not been here, and that would be sweet to have a Big Ten team, even if it is NW.

I'll take any.....repeat....any Big Ten team at the Doyt, period. Northwestern, Indiana, Illinois, I'll take any of them.

After beating them in 2001 and 2003, do you really think that they would schedule us again anytime soon? I'm sure there are quite a number of "Buffalo's" out there that would be willing to play them, while still assuring NW a win.

Northwestern is 1-6 against Miami all-time and has been scheduling them in recent years still, I don't see why being 0-2 against BG would scare them away. But who knows......
