IF this guy ends up being correct on his predictions, then we would beat Wisconsin and Boise would also knock off Georgia. Boy, now that would make for an even more interesting game for us in Boise, like its not interesting enough already.

He made be right about the winner, but I think we'll score more than 26 points.

All of his picks look to be logical. He has OSU only beating MU by 5 pts.
I also think we score more than 26 on a young D, but away games in hostile environments seem to affect our offense in adverse ways.

So do I....41-27, Falcons. The one that jumped out at me was MSU over Kent, 24-19. If the Flashes still had Cribbs? THey could be scary.
Also, Iowa over Ball State 30-10? That will be the score at halftime. I bet the Hawkeyes lay 50+ on Ball State.
Good find...thanks!
28 days....

Hopefully our defense can step up. I never would have thought BG would have pulled off the Purdue win while only scoring 27 points! Also, who would have thought we would hold them to 26? They had a rather high-powered offense.

I am really surprised that he has picked us to win. Not that I didn't think that he respected our team, but I have followed his picks the last couple of years, and he usually doesn't pick that many "upsets" of big time college programs getting beat at home by any program at the beginning of the season. But hey, I really am glad that he has picked us, although I will always be scared until the game ends. If there is one game I hate each year, it is the first one, because a lot of crazy things happen.

The one thing I do not like about this game is that it is played on turf. We have the most problems on turf or maybe it is a coincidence. Unfortunately our three toughest road games this year are on turf.

CR turf is the kind closest to grass. Installed last year.
The old turf was like concrete, this isn't.
If UW can run a bit with some of our typical 7or 8 minute drives, and Bielema is the defensive genious he's been made out to be by some fans, 26 will be about right for a high powered offense against the Badgers. (24-28 range)

Can I point out that saying "turf" is actually akin to saying "natural grass." They call the fake stuff "
ARTIFICIAL TURF."
BG has turf. Toledo has artificial turf.
I mean, I could care less about some things

but that drives me nuts.

I'm actually pretty scared about the Wisky game. They have a pretty good team and I hate to say it, but we are severely overlooking them as a viable opponent. They are team that are going to be playing off pure emotion and won't be afraid to come out with pure intensity. Let's not forget, this is the Barry Alvarez Farewell Tour...

Well pundits....it does seem like a "weird" football score. 26 points...what does that mean 4 field goals in the mix? That's too many not only for our offense not producing in the red zone but too many for a first-time starting kicker. Maybe an OT TD with no need to kick the PAT...doubtful.
But one thing to keep in mind, we do score a lot even against Major conference schools and there is more to come...but anyone also notice last year that Wisconsin didn't score in the 30's that many times (unless you count the pounding against...I think it was U of Central Florida)
