God forbid an injury to Omar, there is NO WAY we go 5-6. Turner is more than capable to step in and we could beat OU, Kent, Akron, Buffalo, Temple, Eastern with Hammb playin QB.

I dunno about a few of those, but, heaven forbid Omar gets injured. I hope Miami gets him full health. That'll prepare the 'Hawks for the MACC and a BCS bowl.

Would he be sober?? Because I don't think we could win unless he's drunk... ;-)

I meant even after a full day of tailgaiting, he could still QB us to wins over those teams. :o

What do you expect? All the publications were writing us off last year with the loss of J5. We watch this team closer than the media ever does and we knew Omar was going to be a stud (though I don't think ANYONE could have predicted what kind of season he ended up having!). So, same thing here. Just like they thought J5 was BG, now they think O4 is one and only. We're seen Turner, as well as the other playmakers on this team to know they will put up a fight no matter what happens.

This may or may not be the optimist in me talking, but I think we could still go 10-0 with Turner at the helm.

I really don't think that this will be a concern, though. If there was one thing and one thing only that Omar proved last year is that he is smart and tough. He was able to get away from trouble with his speed, and even when it couldn't be avoided, he still bounced up from hits that I thought would land me in the hospital for a couple of years.

Don't get too down on the media for overlooking Turner. They always forget that backup quarterbacks can be talented and smart, too. It always amazes me how they act like God has reached his finger down and touched the football field whenever any backup QB performs well - at any school.

Why are they still listing Marshall as part of the MAC? Unless they're still going by last season's team placement since BG is still listed in the West?

Marshall (and UCF) were BOTH listed in the East as a summary to last year....The article on BG clearly states that BG is moving to the East for the 05 season. 8)

While not college, remember that last year Ben Roethlisberger came off the bench for the Steeler's and won that job.

Another great example is the work that Craig Krenzel, Chad Hutchison, Jeff George, and Jonathan Quinn all did for the Bears last year after Rex Grossman went down.

I REALLY don't think you'd want me QBing the offense, especially after a day full of tailgating. I'd audible every play to PJ Pope. Although I do think giving the ball to Pope EVERY play may be effective in beating most of those teams :)
