Does anyone know if the Browns have a nationally televised preseason game this year (Hammb, I'm looking at you!)? If not, does anyone know how I might catch a game here in Tucosn? Would most sports bars have satellite access to them?
I only ask this, and I only put this in the football forum because the only reason I really give a flying crap about the Browns anymore is because of J5. I NEED to see him wearing the Orange and Brown again.
Any help would be appreciated!

Check to see if the is a Browns Backer Club in your area. There seems to be a large following of Browns fans across the country - must be because they're like the Chicago Cubs.

I don't think any of the Browns preseason games are televised nationally. The closest I could find is that reportedly the game next Saturday (August 13th), is going to be carried on the national DirecTV networks. Apparently if you have DirecTV in an area that doesn't give you local channels you can get their national network feeds that are based in NY. Since the Browns are playing the Giants apparently they'll be on there.
Other than that I don't think any of them are nationally televised. In all seriousness, I've had troubles getting the Browns preseason games here in BG the past couple years. This year though they signed with WOIO, which is carried on Time Warner

If you have Dish Network you can get Fox Sports Ohio with their sports package, so you might be able to catch a pre season game if you have that. Since Pre-season is covered by Sunday Ticket regional sports stations usually cover those games.
I know fox doesn't have a deal with the AFC, but you might get lucky.

I also forgot that the NFL network has rights to airing all NFL preseason games for the first time this year. If you have DirecTV or cable that carries the NFL network here's their schedule.

the browns backers exist mostly because the team won eight league titles in 19 years.* the browns beat the bengals seven straight times before the team moved, and are 6-6 since the browns' return in 1999. the browns also hold a 137 point advantage in all time winning percentage, against all oponents. in fact, the bengals' losing percentage is three points higher than the browns' all time winning percentage (.570-.567).transfer2BGSU wrote:Check to see if the is a Browns Backer Club in your area. *all aafc and nfl pre super bowl titles. alas, someday the browns will reach the super bowl. probably after i die. and someday, someday, they'll have more than the bengals' two super bowl appearances.

It's funny you mentioned that. I hadn't thought of it, but I checked out the link and found that one of the two "Browns Backers" bars in Tucson is literally 3 blocks down the street from me. Guess where I'll be on Saturday at 5:00 clad fully in BG apparel? 8)transfer2BGSU wrote:Check to see if the is a Browns Backer Club in your area. Browns on ch.24 this last Sat????
I though I heard that a Browns pre-season game was going to be on like on the 6th or something on NBC24. Was that true or was hearing things?
