BG v. Wisky on ESPN

I dont know if this has already been discussed but ESPN and ABC just recently came out with their schedules and BG is on ESPN when they play Wisky so everyone should be able to watch the game. I know people have talked about not being able to see the game but since it is on ESPN you don't need to worry.

I gathered from the 1460 interview today that Spielman is part of the broadcast team for that one. Which means its likely Pam Ward doing play by play.

All the knocks on Davie, I think this might be a case of "be careful what you wish for".

I've never understood this anti-Pam Ward sentiment. She seems knowledgeable enough and she isn't nearly as annoying as some ESPN play-by-play people.

They both stink. If you check out 1460 the fan poll today the question asks which team will win the MAC in 2005? with 56% BG is in the lead.
I am listening to the pre-interview with Coach B. right now and the praise for the MAC given by Spielman and the other guy sounds like backhanded compliments to me.

Bob Davie is better than Pam Ward

For what it's worth, and some of you might enjoy hearing this, I worked stats for an ESPN game down here at Virginia several years ago in the TV booth with both Spielman and Ward. Spielman was rather bland that day, but Ward was pretty talkative before the game and during breaks. She asked me if I went to UVa and I told her no, that I went to Bowling Green. She piped up after I said that and she said the very first TV game she did for ESPN was the BG vs. "TU" game back in 2000 in Toledo, Ohio. She then said how cold it was that night (which it was, it was freezing). Unfortunately, BG got hammered that game. But I thought it was cool that one, she actually remembered her first game was a BG contest, and two, that she actually referred to Toledo as "TU."

So, she's not so bad in my book, though I like a lot of other people better.

Uh, BG smoked UT in 2001, 56-21 (?). She must have meant that debacle in 2000, or even the one in 2002.

Yeah, sorry, I meant 2000, BG got crushed 51-17...but we did see flashes of a good QB in that guy by someone by the name of Josh Harris ......

We had a good 1st half, and a second half I have pretty much forgotten.

Bold words. A drunk with puke half-way out of his mouth provides sharper commentary that Bob Davie most days. Davie can hardly hide the fact he seems to hates to be in little stadiums or covering teams like BG. He'll blab on about BG as if he has a clue about BGSU, which he proves not to be the case when he has covered the Falcons in the past.

I think Pam Ward worked with Mike Tomszak last year, instead of Spielman during most broadcasts. I don't remember who they teamed up with Spielman last year,

I always knew Doctor J was a closet BG fan.

I'm a BG and OSU grad and am a huge fan of both teams. My least favorite day is when the 2 teams play. My head wants to explode.
I'm heading up to Madison for the game and it can't get here fast enough.

The Pam Ward v. Bob Davie debate is like saying the Spurs are better than the Red Wings.
Ward does play-by-play while Davie is a color man.
