There was an article on CNNSI.com today saying that Florida State assistant coaches were at the BG spring game to scout how a spread offense works. Anyone else hear of this? I think it is pretty cool we have coaches from FSU watching our offense!

FSU coaches were up this summer as well according to EPSN articles as well as SI.com articles. They wanted to add new wrinkles to their offense. I hope Brandon sold him their old bunch of plays... evidently its a common practice to share information about new offenses and techniques in college football.
How soon until the run & shoot comes back?

Bobby Bowden invited Gregg Brandon down to FSU in the recent past to help them out. I believe it was back in the beginning of July. I kind of recall FSU wanted to figure out how to put as many skill positions on the field at one time, yet maintain the integrity in blocking schemes to protect a young QB. This was something BG was the best in the nation at last year, so FSU asked for some help. I'm sure they came up to see the blocking firsthand.

I think this might be a way for them to find out how to stop Florida!

I hope we gleaned some defensive insights. Mickey Andrews and Kevin Steele, the DC and LB coach, are among the best in the nation.
Then again, we didn't even have John Lovett at the Spring Game, who knows a little something about defense having been the coordinator at Ole Miss, Auburn and Clemson where last year he had a Top 30 nationally ranked defense.

How about a 2-for-1 in return?

Don't hold your breath. That would be a phenomenal "get" in the scheduling dept. though!

Yeah, but its a great idea. Before GB spreads the knowledge he should ask for something in return. Maybe not a two for one, but how about a two for Cleveland?

great post man...not sure what caused you to be an ass, but, being a Canes fan at BG, i'm not really pumped about us helping the Noles?
Understand...or should i just shut up?
