SEBO Groundbreaking

Post by BGSU33 »

Not to beat a dead horse by asking this question, but weren't we supposed to start breaking ground this August on the SEBO project? Just wonder because if so, we're close to the midway point of the month already.

I heard end of August beginning of September. But the holdup I guess is that they need like 60% of the total cost of the project raised, and they were waiting on the final bids to come in.

I think I speak for some of us when I say, I hope the SEBO ground breaking is sooner than later. For some reason, even though we've all been informed this is going to take place at BG, I'm a "seeing is believing" kind of person and can't really visualize it happening until I actually gets underway. It's kind of like us getting a MAC Championship again in football or getting to the NCAA Tournament again in basketball. I can wish all I want, but seeing is believing. Anyway, hopefully the project gets started soon. I actually wouldn't even mind stopping into BG and watching a ground breaking ceremony if they have one. I remember reporting on the ground breaking ceremony for the elevators and ticket booths project when I was a student. It wasn't a huge deal, but it's always cool to see a facility improvement get underway.

I know it's not "official" but doesn't the removal of the north stands constitute as getting started? They wouldn't have been removed if something wasn't goint to be taking up the space they were in.

Be patient and have faith that it will be built.
