Screensaver

Post by CapitalFalcon »

Does anyone out there know of a good BG Screensaver of either the football shots and/or the university? I was going to create my own with pictures from the net, but I thought I would check with you technologically saavy folks out there to see if you either built one or knew of one that existed. Thanks!

Cap.Falcon,
Look at Dayon's Den's stuff...he's got a TON of downloadable things to be used for your purpose.... he created my avatar , since I truly have minimal computer knowledge on this stuff. 8)

Easiest thing to do would be to collect images from the net that you like and put them in a free photo screensaver program that is sometimes already installed on your machine.

Even if people had them on their own computers it would be hard to get you a copy of the program. . .

I have Windows XP. I copy pics off of the BGSU web site and place them in the MY PICTURES file on the computer.

THen go to CONTROL PANEL and look for the DISPLAY icon.

On the DISPLAY icon, look forthe SCREEN SAVER tab at the top (should be thrid tab on top).

Select MY PICTURES SLIDESHOW.

The pictures you have saved in the MY PICTURES file will appear as your screensaver.

I have over 400 pictures I've collected that appear on the slideshow. Many of Dayon's items get interesting responses when they appear on screen (I show them off at transfer visit programs).

I will collect items from DD's web link, www.bgsu.edu, the Athletic department web site, the BG News, the Blade, anything that has an interesting BG photo, I copy and save.
