Chances of Gameday in Boise?
Here is the theory that I have been operating under for the past month or so:
1. BG vs. BSU will be arguably the greatest offensive display of the entire college football season.
2. Many outlets, including ESPN, I believe, are listing this game as one of the top three for the entire season, including bowls.
3. Schools have been known to move game times/dates to accomodate ESPN, especially non-BCS schools.
So, I think it is a very real possibility that this game may be moved to Saturday to accomodate the Gameday crew. It would seem to make sense to me. As I recall in 2003 we moved the start time for ESPN.
Opinions? Thoughts? General taunting?

As far as general taunting goes, you're retarded =)
As far as taunting contained to the subject at hand, it will never happen. If the game were going to be moved it would have been moved by now. I think at this point there have been too many travel and other plans made by too many people to reasonably change the game day by half a week. One day or a few hours would be one thing, but 4 days?
If it were scheduled for a saturday, I think there would be an excellent chance of gameday coming given all the hype both teams have received. But then again we'll never know.

Well, first of all, I don't see this happening. However, if it were to move, here's some of the competition that it would have to go up against for the surrounding Saturdays.
9/17: Tennessee @ Florida
Miami @ Clemson
9/24: Iowa @ Ohio State
Michigan @ Wisconsin
Notre Dame @ Washington
So if this was going to move (which it won't), its allready got plenty of competition from other games. This game will probably get great ratings, press, and publicity as it is. Seeing that it will be the only game on at its current time slot only increases its visibility. Keep it where it is.

Gee, looking at the games on that Saturday, anyone think that just maybe Gameday will be at the ND@UW game? I mean, it has the most appeal with Willingham being at UW now, I think it's a pretty safe bet if ND wins just one of their first two, they will be there. Although that UM v. Iowa game is pretty intriguing. I am with some of the rest of you guys, they won't be moving our game. I am sure that the team already has their travel plans set for this one, and they probably don't look forward to trying to change them just so that Gameday can be at the game. Besides, I would much rather be spending my birthday watching BG win on the blue turf. It would really give me a great reason to drink, I might have to call in sick the next day though.

MACMAN
my pal has worked on this show for two seasons, and if we beat WI and Bosie beats GA...its a go, game day will try to make it happen.
also a note out game against Toledo is in contention...pending other schools....
Game day is not a ridged program they follow the energy and if we have it we will get it. plain and simple.

It would be great but I agree with DD. This is a great matchup on a weeknight and the game will not have to compete with any other games.Dayons_Den wrote:The game is scheduled for a weeknight to accomodate ESPN already. I highly doubt they would move it to the weekend.
I think it stays right where it is.

No chance!
They better not change the date this late. I waited too long for them to set the date in the first place.Jacobs4Heisman wrote:...it will never happen.
